Where did you find that out by the way, I never see it mentioned anywhere (is the away goals thing just a Eurocup invention or something like that?)

It does say on the OS, on one of the Oxford United Play off semi posts, or possibly even on the match preview! - That doesn't narrow it down much, but its a start ;)Everyweeker wrote:Thanks Dave, knew I could rely on you for simplicitydavealbon wrote:A simple and quick answer:

Don't think away goals have ever counted double in the play-offs, may be the reason for your knowledge! ;)davealbon wrote:It's one of those things I just know, I'm not sure how or why! ;)Everyweeker wrote:Thanks Dave, knew I could rely on you for simplicitydavealbon wrote:A simple and quick answer:

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Re: Away Goals?
Away goals definitely did count once upon a time and for some strange reason i seem to remember that some random team like Bolton played Ipswich and won on away goals and got to the play off final and then promotion to the Premiership. After that game (not literally but at some point in the future!!!) it was decided that away goals would not count. Might have got the teams wrong but the facts are right
