Dale Roberts
Dale Roberts
I know Dale is signed up for at least another year under his current contract, but Barrow are confident that they have landed a "good keeper" and that his "club have allowed him to move" - see Blue Square Premier web site.
In view of the fact that no decision has been made about Terry (still under investigation)! I hope that this is not Dale's request to return north materialising.
I know Barrow is the other side of the country to where Dale hails from but Barrow to Geordieland is not that far.
Anybody heard any further update on the Terry investigation. If Dale does decide to move and this is granted, I still would not like to see Terry in the team as in my opinion he would be an untrustworthy cuckoo in the nest that none of the existing players would ever feel comfortable with again. With both gone the team could get on with reuniting behind a Manager they know and trust ( aka Max's comments today ).

Re: Dale Roberts
I read a rumour elsewhere that Barrow are close to signing Leeds' 3rd choice GK, obviously just a rumour, but could be this GK instead. I know it's easy to put two and two together but personally, until it's official, it hasn't happened.
As for the Dale/Terry scenario, I really hope Dale stays and Terry leaves, but I do find it a tad suspicious that the investigation has taken so long. I will not be happy if Terry is still here next year, and I qould be equally unhappy if Dale left.

Re: Dale Roberts
I dont think there is anything fishy with the investigation taking so long, remember, we have only had one player re-sign since JE has been on holiday. Let's just give them all a bit of time. I am sure JE will do the right thing, and ensure that PT is not here next season!

Alan Martin (leeds now 3rd choice keeper behind Higgs and Schmeichel) was on loan there the season before last. I would not be surprised to see him rejoin as he doesn't appear to have developed the way Leeds hoped.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.
One Dale Roberts.

Justin has been on holiday for a week, we've got those three signings to tie up from the week before and we've just lost our assistant manager. Terry is out of contract, so no news at the moment means nothing. If this is still rumbling on in July, then worry, until then, let's stop worrying about something that is out of our hands. I trust Justin on this one.
As for Dale, stop worrying FFS. He's contracted for next season, and there is nothing to suggest Barrow are signing him, but there is a rumour it is Leeds' 3rd choice keeper. I swear some people are annoyed we've just had a good season because it means they haven't been able to moan as much as in previous seasons.

"Barnet have confirmed they are poised to complete the signings of three unnamed players.
Announcing the news on the club's official website, it was revealed that the trio had already been shown around Underhill by manager Mark Stimson.
While the identities of the players may remain a mystery, they are known to be a wide player and two central midfielders.
Offers are now on the table as Stimson, who took the reins at the Bees on 1st June, looks to seal the triple swoop".
Could the centre midfielders be PT and Mark Byrne ? No idea of the wide player.

Re: Dale Roberts
Hopefully PT - If Mark Goes There, So Be It...would be great for him to be here next season but it's out of our control...we've shown him we appreciate him being here by giving him awards and begging for a good while, he's clearly a fan favourite and if he enjoys football and is less concerned about money (well he's being paid by forest right) then why not come here again? he will develop just as well here as in league two as there is no difference between the leagues in fact you could argue a case for BSP being stronger now more than ever...now we must sit and see if Justin can swoop in and get him back here.MEMAN53 wrote:"Barnet have confirmed they are poised to complete the signings of three unnamed players.
