The Close Season Simeon Debate 2010
The Close Season Simeon Debate 2010
I see that Norwich have allegedly had a £ 500,000 bid turned down by Gillingham, who are holding out for more money ( surprise, surprise! ), and it is suggested that other clubs are interested.
Lottery tickets are on sale, can you purchase the ticket with the name on the club who wins!
5% or 10% 0r 20% of the proceeds go to R & D FC

Now lets see 20% of £ 500,000 = £ 100K
Oh just enough to pay the electricity bill, with £ 4K change.
Lucky that.

Nuh uh, 20% of profit. so 20% of £350,000 so £70,000. We still need £26k in that case...
*checks pocket*
I've got £2.58 but I'll look down the back of my sofa. Anyone else? ;)

Re: The Close Season Simeon Debate 2010
Unfortunately for us, Simeons contract with Gills is up at the end of the season, and Hessenthaler has already stated in no uncertain terms that he is happy for him to just see that out if it means they get another season with him. Scally (the chairman) has backed this view unless they get an acceptable offer.
Problem is, this time last year he had a 2m price tag on his head, i can't see them letting him go for less than 1m.
So if that does happen, we get bugger all.

I would LOVE him to go to Norwich, purely because I would get to see him play again every other week
Having said that, though, when he played against Norwich towards the ends of last season he hardly got a touch in 20 minutes and did absolutely nothing (although this was the day that NCFC won the league).
On the ball, Simeon... ;)

The moment we have something negative being banded out, they all come out of the woodwork.... :roll:MEMAN53 wrote:Now lets see 20% of £ 500,000 = £ 100K
