Re: Lance Key
Wondered who that was. His kicking was a bit dodgy when warming up the strikers last night though..Two of Diamonds wrote:According to the ET we've got this chap as a goalkeeping coach now.

formerly at Histon, and i think he used to play for Sheff Wed, i presume this means Schoey is no longer involved at the club.

Lance Key faced us a few times when he was at Northwich before we got to the league.D14MNDS wrote:formerly at Histon, and i think he used to play for Sheff Wed, i presume this means Schoey is no longer involved at the club.
Shoey was at the game last night - I believe his role is normally within the Youth Scheme, but he helps out in other areas when needed - as it was at the end of last season, and as it was when Tony Godden had an injury.
Re: Lance Key
Shoey is a legend, when he played always shouting "Don't foul, Don't foul".

Re: Lance Key
I think Lance Key is a good acquisition, he has wealth of experience at this level and will provide cover as a 'third choice keeper' also. Funnily enough I went to school with his nephew.
Re: Lance Key
I understand that Shoey is not available during the daytime in the week, hence the need of another coach. Speaking to one of the goalies and he has beeen very impressed with him

Re: Lance Key
Lance Key was born in K*ttering but never had such as good career as his brother Richard, also a keeper, who had good league spells with Exeter City and Cambridge United in the 90's.

Re: Lance Key
Bit of a giant of a guy if i remember rightly, but i do remember him saving a penalty for Northwich, from Darby in the conference winning season!
