Simeon Jackson to Norwich

Looks like he's finally going. Let the speculation about fees begin... Hope he's not part-exchanged like the article mentions though.

I think it's only a loan deal for McDonald and according to this article the fee is around £600,000.Mat.H wrote:I article says there may be a player swap involved which I Imagime will keep the fee down, unless a tribuneral values the player involved???

I think that works out at £86k from the initial fee with it possibly rising to £166k for us.But now Norwich have struck a deal with Gillingham that will see the Canadian international move to Carrow Road for an initial fee of £600,000 rising to £1 million based on apperances.

Re: Simeon Jackson to Norwich
£90,000 for us if that figure is correct. Not quite the pay day we were hoping for but still a considerable sum for this football club. That article also states that the fee could rise to £1million after appearances, presumably we would be entitled to 20% of that as well, taking our earnings to £170k?Sam Gregory wrote:I think it's only a loan deal for McDonald and according to this article the fee is around £600,000.Mat.H wrote:I article says there may be a player swap involved which I Imagime will keep the fee down, unless a tribuneral values the player involved???

I based my figures on an initial fee of £170k, though if I'm wrong and it was £150k then your figures would be correct.davealbon wrote:

Would we really want a Norwich player foot?DiamondsFan wrote:Hope he's not part-exchanged like the article mentions though.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Or maybe we could work out a time share. We take him on saturdays (14% of the week), and say, tuesday evenings, and Gillingham can have him the rest of the time ;)wewantourdarbyback wrote:Would we really want a Norwich player foot?DiamondsFan wrote:Hope he's not part-exchanged like the article mentions though.

Cody McDonald will do very well at League 2 level, if he gets the start. Wasn't really going to get much of that last season when we had Holt, Martin and Hoolahan getting as many as they did..
