However much of a twat he was, he was still in my opinion our best player last year and we will miss him a lot this year!

Very True and worked well as Byrne had the legs and energy to do a lot of the leg work allowing Terry to thread the balls through the defence or out wide.rushdenman wrote: He "knitted" the back and front together very well.
So far it doesn't look like JE has managed to replace them, although we may not have seen the finished midfield (and they have only been friendly matches) it doesn't look as strong as last year

Remember we only signed Terry at the end of August though.. Still plenty of time left to replace him if our midfield appears weak in league games.
