In that case, please don't do as so many have done before you, and turn your back on the club when the going gets tough. It is now, more than ever, that we need every supporter to get behind us.oliv272 wrote:DiamondsFan wrote:You were planning on going but there will be too many new players... Not really disheartening to see us chopping and changing though - just need to look down the road at K*ttering and see the recruiting they are doing, Corby too. Just part of football. I think we've kept a solid defence which is the most important bit - if you don't concede, you can't lose!

Losing your top players is always gutting, but that's football and we wish Tommo well - he deserves the chance to show what he can do at a higher level.oliv272 wrote:Got told about this on facebook and I was very upset. Diamonds seem to be losing to many of their players from last season leaving a team with little chemistry. To make matters worse replacements for players have been average. I was planning to go to the first match but looking at the injuries players to many new boys will be in it.
Look forward to a mediocratic season.
The only place we've had a lot of changes is in the midfield so that's what JE & PD must work on. We still have Porter from last season (an England C international) and we've supplemented that with Power. I'm sure that Day could step into a left midfield role and Lewwis Spence has been very steady in there as well. If you went to the WBA game you'd have seen our side passing as well as it ever has, it just lacks a little cutting edge. O'Connor will be back and we have the new striker. Edinburgh pulled off a major shock last season by getting us to the play-offs, he has that challenge again. This season he has (IMO) a more solid base of players to work with. No one expected Dagenham nor Burton to win this league - no one expects us to. Keep the faith, supporting a non-league club can be a bumpy ride.

I agree. Tomlin was always going to leave and I'm just surprised it's taken so long for the transfer to happen. Two of Diamonds wrote: Losing your top players is always gutting, but that's football and we wish Tommo well - he deserves the chance to show what he can do at a higher level.

I believe the fee to be in the region of £150,000Mad Dog wrote:Disappointed. Hoperfully a portion of the fee, whatever it is, be put at Justin's disposal. I think on the left, Day will be pushed forward.

Hmm,
Given your other post on this forum about the Brackley minibus made it look like you were an alterego for "RDFCWilson" (or at least an older sibling who was old enough to book a minibus) - and it was he who posted the 150k "story" one suspects you are getting your information from the same source ....

On the bench for Posh today, will be interesting to see how he does if he comes on, I would have thought he'll at least get a run out.
