Favourite Diamonds moment???
Just been thinking back over my years of following Diamonds and trying to think of one definitive moment that I can say is my favourite, the VERY BEST moment?
So many to choose from but I think it has to be Darby's second goal and our 10 men beating the scum..........................followed closely by Heggs' goal at Ellend Rd, but I think Duane just nips in there and steals it. Happy days (sigh)!

Paul Hall's goal in the Millennium will always be remembered. Top quality run and the perfect thing to shut the Cheltenham scum up.
Darby at K*ttering goes without saying. Could tell what it meant from his celebration after the first goal.
Beating Hartlepool at home was a favourite of mine too to confirm us as champions of Division Three.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.
One Dale Roberts.

I think you might be getting a little confused - this game ended as a 1-1 draw, although I suppose it kind of felt like a win at the time.DiamondsFan wrote: Beating Hartlepool at home was a favourite of mine too to confirm us as champions of Division Three.

Oops, yeah I remember them equalising quite late on but it didn't really matter. Was a really good atmosphere that day with Hartlepool selling out the AirWair.Pete wrote:I think you might be getting a little confused - this game ended as a 1-1 draw, although I suppose it kind of felt like a win at the time.DiamondsFan wrote: Beating Hartlepool at home was a favourite of mine too to confirm us as champions of Division Three.

Re: Favourite Diamonds moment???
The whole game of Mansfield 1-4 Rushden was amazing. If i had to relive one game it would be that without question. We completely destroyed a team that got promoted a month later, and Onandi Lowe was completely unplayable.
If i had to relive a single moment, then 3 spring to mind. Burgess' equiliser in the SS final. Rankines nose dive in the same game, or Billy Sharp scoring against cobblers. I dont think i've ever been in an away Diamonds atmosphere comparable to the SS final, it was amazing.

Home fans had the 2 end blocks of the AW that day, I remember sitting there with Matt wishing I was elsewhere in the ground!DiamondsFan wrote:Oops, yeah I remember them equalising quite late on but it didn't really matter. My favourite moment would have to be whoever it was scoring the winner against the Cobblers. That, and our 8-0 loss at Highfield Rd, what a night that was, fantastic atmosphere from start to finish, was it 2 of ours sent off? And some classic songs - "we want 1", "can you score a goal for us"...brilliant memories

Billy Sharps goal against The Cobblers.
Our 3-0 win over the scum last season.
our 5-0 win against Poxford a few seasons ago (the look on Turleys face was priceless)

I've seen all the moments you've spoke about, but for me it was Rankines goal in the SS Final!
