Join the trust then Jim. I saw plenty of people doing it today for the discounted ticket prices. You can even sign up in the Club Shop before buying a ticket. ;)

Pigman has already stated on another thread that he won't be joining the trust. I won't be either TBH, its almost like being held to ransom.
Out of interest, how many games are you planning on coming to this year?

Its my personal choice that I won't be joining the Trust, end of !

Joining a Trust to get a discount should not be the reason for doing it, the club could have looked at other ways of doing this in my opinion, but they've made their decision, I've made mine - my emails to the BSP and R&DFC have been ignored, so I guess neither think it is much of an issue eh?

Anyway, people have asked about my attendance last season and in all competitions I attended 22 home games and 13 away games, I think it was my poorest seasons attendance EVER.

This season, looking at my work diary and what I know I've got on at weekends already I would have probably got to 17-19 home games (which I'll probably only now attend the scum (definate - I've never missed a derby match, not one!!) and Luton (hopefully) home games) and I hope to get to about 13-15 away games all being well.

I was always going to struggle with the first 3 games because of other commitments, the next 2 home games were doubtful, but I was hoping to make the AFC Dons game, but my realistic chance of making one of the early games of the season was always likely to be the scum game at the Rockinghorse.

I may yet make it to Bath on Tuesday (fingers crossed) and am expecting to make the York fixture as well...............mind you, if comments about yesterday's game are anything to go by it sounds as though I won't be missing much ;)

I'll just rely upon you guys to keep me informed of how things are going eh? :D

I'm going to be visiting NP less due to the new prices. As a lot of people seem to be doing, voting with there feet.

I also refuse to join the trust, why the club cant keep the home fans happy and drop the away fans price, but then again, the home fans cant expect to be treated that well.

Well i'm a home fan and i won't be happy if the price was dropped for away support who can sit for £3 quid less than me.

Sorry but the debanke terrace may be the majority on this forum but you ain't the majority of our home support.

Anyway if you save the money you would have spent for the home games upto xmas maybe you could get yourself a half season ticket for the 2nd half of the season

I paid £40 saturday for me and the family it's alot of money for a match will have to miss a game or two due shift work.I really can't afford these prices but will attend as many as possible.I don't really get it why people won't join the trust to get a reduction ? as it also helps the club.

I suspect a large number of the DeBanke have got season tickets anyway and have joined the trust. I think it is those that pay on the gate on a matchday without trust membership that are in the minority.

Well they can't be the majority as they have all walked due to not wanting to join the trust or won't pay £17 ;)

I've no idea if I'm in the minority or the majority, I don't really care, I just know that £14 is what I was prepared to pay to attend games and stand in the PDB this year, I didn't expect to have to pay a £15 fee for the honour of paying an extra £1 on what I did last year!! I've been following this club since 1994 and its the first time I have felt like I'm being seen as a cash cow !!

I guess the club were damned whatever they did, if they dropped the away price then home fans in the seats would be upset, if they did nothing the BSP would be all over them like a rash......they decided to put up the home standing tickets and offer (for a fee, which is my issue) a membership scheme as an option to get a discount. I'd like to have seen some evidence that they have protested to the BSP about this and fought our corner a bit, being as though its only us and FGR (I understand?) who are affected by this..........but I've seen nothing that indicates that, nor has anyone shown me the exact wording of what the directive says.

Like I say, I may be cutting off my nose to spite my face, but I refuse to be forced into joining the Trust and I won't pay £17 to stand, that is an unfair and ridiculous fee at this level of football. I don't understand why they couldn't have introduced a loyalty scheme whereby if you have a proven record of purchasing tickets in the past you couldn't have been given a free membership and discount to £14, all you'd need is a ticket the same as one of our matchday tickets to keep in your wallet, it'd cost pennies !!! If you're a new fan then you could be given free Diamonds membership with your first matchday ticket purchased through the clubshop, thats what I would have done anyway, but it'd probably be against the rules judging by the incompetence of the BSP Board.

Anyway, its all irrelevant, I've voted with my feet, I guess we'll see in a few games how many others will do likewise eh? Some people may not "get" the position I'm taking, thats cool, its a personal choice.......just as joining the Trust should be !!
