I agree with Woody; the way some of us speak and write today drives me mad. In addition to the things already mentioned, I'd add -

- use (or mis-use) of the apostrophe,
- use of too, to and two,
- use of there, their and they're,
- use of capital letters,
- use of your and you're,
- use of our and are.

None of it is rocket science. At work I feel like I'm banging my head against a brick wall most of the time, and that's just with the other adults in the building!

Oh, and it's grammar, not grammer!

If you're refering to the timing of post, you really mean mid afternoon. You were on here midday, so I should ask you the same question. ;)

Going off topic a little bit, how long do you think it will be before Red Dragon finds this thread (although I agree with him on this issue)? ;)

There is no more annoying use of English than those who insert the letter R in the word can't.

All over this forum is the word "definately" instead of "definitey".

I delivered to a place the other day I won't say what massive D.I.Y. company they are but they have a Q and B in their name. I was told to wear a hi-viz vest because its company policy. Bearing in mind the size of this company they had notices saying all visitors to wear hi visability vests.

I went to Screwfix direct in Stoke and corrected 7 spelling mistakes on a notice in the drivers room including the basic term. All drivers must hand in there keys and not return to there vehicles.

I wasn't having a go, you genuinely confused me with that. :) Ironically I could have asked the same question even if had I known the reference!
