On a Sunday? that will be strange, can see the attendance suffering.

True, attendences may suffer but then again rearranging in this fashion probably can't be avoided. We don't know what the rest of the season is going to be like fixture wise when the cups and winter weather begins, so putting it back a day makes sense in that respect.diamondgeezer1 wrote:On a Sunday? that will be strange, can see the attendance suffering.
On the other hand, it might not make a difference to the (home) attendence. Still at the weekend, the majority live within a short travelling distance anyway.
Re: Crawley & Eastbourne games re-arranged
It's shades of the Setanta debacle all over again IMO. I've got a room booked in Eastbourne for the original date of that game - which is non-changeable / refundable, and I suspect others who travel away will have made plans for time off work etc which will be an issue given the short notice.
The last time I missed a Diamonds away game was due to the Setanta dithering - and I guess there is more of this sort of thing still to come.
If someone could convince me the club will benefit due to this deal I wouldn't mind, but I think the losses in revenues due to attendances being affected "on the day" and in the longer term as fans find other things to do on Saturday afternoons will outweigh the potential monies received, let alone what is actually received.

I agree, this will never do. We'll never be able to tell if our pricing policy is working if we do this ;)Formic wrote:It's shades of the Setanta debacle all over again IMO.

Let's bang the prices up to compensate ;)

Yep - I was bringing a couple of guests but they can't make Sunday.
