Can anyone remember....
On another forum i was just talking about terrible referees at this level. Mr Coote is obviously the worst one doing the rounds, but can anyone remember Mr S Coffee?
He refereed our home game against Leigh RMI in 2000 (i think), the most blatant cheating from an official i have ever seen. I remember hearing that he was reported.

Re: Can anyone remember....
I do remember him - he smiled at the wrong times to increase the annoyance over decisions you thought he'd got wrong - especially the Mustafa red card.
The match report at the time stated "with both teams searching for the crucial second goal it was referee Coffey who moved centre stage. "He didn't have a very good day at the office" was the diplomatic response of Manager Brian Talbot and how right he was."

A very biased report is also at http://archive.thisislancashire.co.uk/2 ... 85548.html - although I do like the last paragraph - "Leigh deserved their point thoroughly and more pleasing was the way in which they handled several fiery situations that could have turned nasty, not least in the final minute of stoppage time when Duane Darby chased Craig Dootson like a man possessed and was restrained by German."
A neutral report is at http://web.archive.org/web/200109140021 ... 18741.html with the stats from the game at http://web.archive.org/web/200107031015 ... 18741.html

There was someone with the name "Singh" I think who I remember was quite a good referee. Pretty sure I saw him at a diamonds match and thought he was very good, can't really remember any bad ones tbf

Re: Can anyone remember....
Barry Knight was absolutely shocking, he reffed Gobblers/Southend playoff final and made a dodgy decision there too.

I remember a Mr. Fletcher being pretty terrible, but can't remember what match!
Re: Can anyone remember....
You'll be thinking of the Histon game where he sent off Tomlin and Woodhouse - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Match ... 10,00.html - and the card count reached double figures.TheIncognitoKid wrote:I remember a Mr. Fletcher being pretty terrible, but can't remember what match!

Probably the best referee I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing some superb officiating from.StuartRDFC wrote:Mr Singh is a legend!mattreddan wrote:There was someone with the name "Singh" I think who I remember was quite a good referee.
