Afraid not :-) if no takers with the correct ticket, the money goes into the Trust funds. Strictly speaking they have until kick off of the next home league match to claim. Was at the cabin after for 15-20 minutes to see if they turned up (whilst doing prep for tickets for next game on Saturday).davealbon wrote:I have ticket number 08265; do I get the money if I'm the closest to come forward?!
That was 2 Strikers tickets in a row as well....

Could the Trust not do a rollover and add the £255 to next week's prize money and heavily advertise it to sell more tickets with a bigger crowd? Couple of mentions in the ET and on the OWS and maybe get Yeovil to promote it and there'll be a bumper prize.

R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

If it wasn't claimed after a while, putting it towards the Youth setup wouldn't be a better shout either.Sara Pascoe wrote:Could the Trust not do a rollover and add the £255 to next week's prize money and heavily advertise it to sell more tickets with a bigger crowd? On the subject of the Trust, I know they do help out the Youth System, but it would be good to see some news on donations made in the past year. We used to have a Trust AGM which was well publicised, but I think they've been rather more low key in recent times. Given the boost in numbers due to the De Banke ticketing arrangements, it would be useful to know where the funds go in a bit more detail - especially now the Trust website is defunct.
I have to admit I don't really know who the Trust Board Members are, other than those elected 18 months ago - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Suppo ... 48,00.html

The 50/50 rules state any unclaimed monies go into the overall fund, rather than rollover into the following week. Note - as the person has until the next league home game to claim - we cannot of course take that into account, so would not be able to advertise that as part of any prize.Mad Dog wrote:If it wasn't claimed after a while, putting it towards the Youth setup wouldn't be a better shout either.Sara Pascoe wrote:Could the Trust not do a rollover and add the £255 to next week's prize money and heavily advertise it to sell more tickets with a bigger crowd? It's likely to be a moot point anyway as we usually track down the winner (sometimes they will call the club in the week, or go to the shop) - I think in the last 5 years so so we have had 1 unclaimed prize that I recall [Actually 2 checking my records]. Last weeks was the first time in ages it had gone unclaimed - though in that case we knew who the person was (as the seller remembered), and just had to wait for them to collect their prize. Good to see it was a face I recognised from the away games as well :-)

Yep - totally agree - I had already suggested this, and will follow up again.Formic wrote:On the subject of the Trust, I know they do help out the Youth System, but it would be good to see some news on donations made in the past year. Also the £500 (approx) that a few of us raised on the Batty Boots walk, was to go to the Youth Team (via some player sponsorships as I recall - which I have to sort out). Once have more details on that will let you know, though I think there was a programme article on that.
