You didn't need to buy a ticket for the PDB, since they're accepting cash on the gate.therushden wrote:well i got my ticket on saturday and i'm only a season ticket holder, no trust. and i paid 14 quid.

It may have to be agreed by both clubs but it doesn't stop the club being wrong for refusing to budge on the £17 all round prices. The club wanted to charge £17 had the K*ttering game been a replay, thats far to much for a fourth qualifying round game. The people running this club need to get away from the policy of bleeding the hardcore fans dry by charging to stupid prices and start charging reasonable prices for the standard of football and prices that will attract the normal football follower.wewantourdarbyback wrote:Never mind the fact that prices or FA cup ties must be agreed upon between both clubs.PigmanRDFC wrote:Totally disgraceful decision in my opinion, we're turning into a joke of a football club !!

We charged reasonable prices last season, I'm sure the majority will agree, and despite enjoying our best league campaign in many years we still didn't attract many, if any, new supporters. Had it not been for the play off game against Oxford and the bumper crowd for the Luton game (most of which was Luton fans), then our average home attendance last season would have seen no discernable change from the previous, dismal, season.KGB wrote:The people running this club need to get away from the policy of bleeding the hardcore fans dry by charging to stupid prices and start charging reasonable prices for the standard of football and prices that will attract the normal football follower.wewantourdarbyback wrote:Never mind the fact that prices or FA cup ties must be agreed upon between both clubs.PigmanRDFC wrote:Totally disgraceful decision in my opinion, we're turning into a joke of a football club !!

I've no doubt that we have lost a few supporters this season due to the prices increase (in fact, I think there is a regular poster on here who refuses to attend home games at the moment because of it ;) ) but I really don't think that the pricing is the main reason our attendances are struggling.

Id disagree about last seasons prices being reasonable, to stand at a conference game shouldnt really be more then a tenner and about £14 to sit. The club didn't do enough to attract new fans in while having the best season in years. Living in Rushden I can't remember the last time the club did anything to attract supporters in from the town.

As was mentioned on here not long ago, it's only open Tuesdays and Fridays now. You can ring though and order tickets.

Who's that then? ;)davealbon wrote:.............I think there is a regular poster on here who refuses to attend home games at the moment because of it ;) ) but I really don't think that the pricing is the main reason our attendances are struggling.

I personally know of 4 people (5 if you count me) that were regulars last year who don't now come due to the prices - 5 supporters lost, and I'll be the only one of those 5 who are going on Saturday! I was speaking to 2ofD tonight and he knows of a few as well - thats just 2 of us who know people affected by this, it may not be the main reason - but its a reason !! We don't appear to be doing anything to attract new fans to the club, which is a real worry when you're losing those you already had.
Personally I may look at the half season ticket price (if they do one this year) and see if its worth my while doing it, thats the only way I'll get to see any BSP football at NP this year, but I've lost a little faith in the club over this and I don't think I'll ever feel the same about it as I once did.
