As WWODB says, no time limit was mentioned, so the wager stands for this season as well!

I was a fans of Ranks because of his effort (obviously not his ability! ) and I desperately wanted him to well for us. However, I'll boo him all night if it has an adverse effect on him, and let's face it, Ranks was never the type of player who thrived under stick from the opposition, unlike Brodie for example. I'll clap him on and off the pitch and I certainly won't hurl abuse at him like I would Terry, Turley or Clare (amongst others), but I'm a Rushden fan not a Michael Rankine fan, and if giving him some stick improves our chances of winning the game then that's what I'll do.

I liked Ranks. He made an effort, which was more than a lot of the "better" players we've had during our time. Players like him shouldn't be booed, save that for Turley, Kelly, Clare et al.

Ranks is one of my favorite Diamonds players ever! Never seen a player work his jaffers off like that before.

Not to mention that he is our 10th all time goalscorer, scoring more than the likes of Tomlin.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

when doing shoting practice before the match, he used to score some suberb goals. put some defenders on the pitch and those shots went skywards.

When you watch the warm-up the same still applies to our strikers nowadays, in particular the likes of Farrell and Howe. The best striker I ever saw in a Diamonds shirt, pre match that is, was Mikolander, who rarely never missed a goal. However in the match he was pants save for that 'wonder goal' against Notts which clearly was a miss-hit.
They all lack composure, at BSP level, when there are defenders in the way and many try to break the back of the net when it's easier to place the ball.

yep, i agree. they try and power it home and it goes screaming over the bar.
some of these wonder goals they score in the prem are pure fluke. they just hit it as hard as they can and it goes anywhere. the pace has beaten the keeper.
