Why go 3 at the back though???? Can't get my head around it! Fair enough if were 0-1 down at home with 10 mins to go . We had no right back when there left winger ran down the line and wiped a cross in for ranks to score!

Edinburgh blasting the ref on the radio.

"Showed what he's all about in that game"
"Never played a game of football in his life"
"Never a sending off in a million years"
"Ref was scandalous.

According to the OWS, he was missing due to illness.

Personally I dont think the ref was as bad as everyone makes out, perhaps a bit biased but overall we need to look at ourselves, take the blame for once. However I dont think the performance was as bad as everyone makes out either.

The free kick and the lob were just brilliant goals, and their 4th was on the counter. They were impressive but with 11 men it would have been different

Unfortunately i missed the red card, a player was blocking my view so can't comment, but it would obviously have made a big difference on the outcome.

For me the big mistake was 3 at the back. We even seemed to put Porter at RB for 2 mins before changing to 3. If we had 4 at the back the rb would of surely blocked the cross for Rankine's goal, and then it's a completely different game.

Was a tad disappointed we didn't go for it more in the last 20, we created a fair bit but still seemed very little urgency.

Finally I think you have to praise Aaron O'Connor who ran his bollocks of today & looked the only likely player to make something happen. Osano was a rock in a very tough situation and I think Rene had his best game for a while

Some donut on the radio said we need to send Howe back to Peterborough!

I thought the sending off was an absolute disgrace from where i was sitting. The fact that the players and management didn't seem to appeal to much made me think i'd missed something but hearing JE on the radio i obviously didn't. I'm sure it will be appealed.

So one week he's doing the smart thing and not commenting and then two weeks later he's shouting from the rooftops. Hmmm...

A week's a nice long time, I have faith in Justin that he'll get the team to regroup and start all over again, 1 point from 9 is bad but we went through a similar thing around this time last season, unfortunately 2 of those losses were at home to York and away to FGR. Let's hope that a trend isn't starting and we can hammer FGR and get back into the play-off places.

Ed: Oh and was there any need to abuse Rankine today? For Christ sake I can understand when it's a player that never put in any effort but FFS Rankine ran his socks off while he was here. I was glad when he gestured to the PDB. Their free-kick was perfectly placed as well, and the 3rd was a lovely chip. Sometimes it's better to have a big loss to clear it all out, I think everyone's been a bit down after Yeovil and now hopefully this'll wake us up properly after a bit of a hangover. :)

I heard that, Im not a huge Rene fan but its fair to say without him we wouldn't be where we are and him and Az were the only two who looked likely to make something happen today.

I'm a big believer that confidence is very important in football. Our recent form has obviously not been great but all it would take is an early goal, for example, next week and we can get back on track. If we can now stay unbeaten until the Luton boxing day game we'll still be there or thereabouts, and suddenly the Luton game is massive.

Credit to the fans today at the end too. Last season a 1-1 draw with Crawley got boo-ed. I'm glad that despite the result and certain players not performing we know how lucky we are and we can turn it around

Apart from goals two and three, I don't think we played badly overall. It really was a freak result as people have already mentioned and as for the ref, the less said the better.

I do think that without the sending off it would have been a very different game.

Hats off to Azza, who on another day would have got a hattrick and deservedly so.

I was disappointed with the morons the PDB that abused Rankine and therefore don't hold it against him for the way he celebrated.

(On a positive note, if therushden could get his money ready for the youth fund, it would go a long way towards cheering me up ).

He said it last season in good spirit and clearly only meant it for that season. Let's not hound the guy, it wouldn't be a nice gesture if he was being forced to do it. :)
