As everyone said - a game of 2 halves once more. Time to get the first half performances to match the second.

Nice one Azza - was hoping for a 2nd half hatrick - but an equaliser in the 93rd minute will do. At least warmed everyone up at end.

Why is it always so cold or windy at Forest Green ;-)

Right:

The first half was the worst I have seen for ages, no-one seemed very interested. Both goals could of been stopped with a bit more aggressive defending, closing down and organisation. The first goal was a great strike but he was just outside the box, on his own, and had time to take a touch and pick his spot, which to be fair he did superbly. For the second the ball was worked down the right & Kurt, who I thought looked our weak link, dealt with it, before slipping. The player then ran into the box, played a couple of neat, but too easy 1-2s, before knocking the ball across to the far post for a simple tap in.

The midfield made barely any impact on the game, and the strikers were quite wasteful on the few occasions they actually got the ball. One positive for me was Miller, who I thought looked like a surprisingly good CB.

The second half we came out a completely different team, everyone was pressing to retrieve the ball and be positive in possesion. Farrell, Sills and Power, who all did nothing in the first half really upped their game, particularly Sills who I thought looked like the player I was expecting.

The challenge for the penalty was a foul, but it was right on the corner of the box and I was honestly surprised that she gave it - even I was thinking free kick. But Power grabbed the ball and calmly slotted it into the left corner. And suddenly we have something to play for.

For the remaining minutes it was all us but we just didn't quite have the luck, and we had already had our allocated ONE decision from the ref so all the 50/50s were given against us, and even a foul on Az, given their way.

Just as they were seeming to get slightly back into it and close it out, we had one last go. 4 minutes of added time given, and we had probably 5 corners and 3 long throws, all looking quite dangerous. In the end a Miller throw came in, was headed out to about 12 yards, to the left of the goal and Az just hit it, and kept it down. Took a deflection but what a goal.

We deserved a point but if we played like that in the first half it could of been 3/4 0. Unbeaten in 1 now, here we go :) ;)

I just visited the FGR forum and one of the posters on there reckons the pen was 6ft outside the box!!! He should pop along to Specsavers along with a certain Ms Fearn :? :? :? At least they agree with us that she was shocking today - although not that sure that their complaints are justified

He started his career at CB, playing there for all the time he was at Ipswich. It was only when he got to Orient that we started messing him about, in fact even playing him as a right winger for his first full season with us before converting him to RB.

Winter is the time for viruses and boy does it seem we have caught the doozy from up the A6 of only playing for 45mins of a match.

Hopefully the good dose of kick up the ass medicine given yesterday keeps working and clears the players heads for the rest of winter and onwards.
