I would like to know the percentage of the present 1,000 hardcore support that actually come from the 'magic triangle'. Not so big I would hazard to guess knowing very many, like me, that travel from further afield.

worked for me with my school football team and local club

I think this is a great idea, when i was at primary school in rushden the club used to do this, its the only reason i was taken to games and grew up a fan.

I'd like to know that too, as I know of many, like me and you, that have to spend quite a bit on petrol just for the round trip to Nene Park, let alone when going to away games. Petrol isn't getting any cheaper, and, for those of us that live outside East Northants, that cost, plus the Car Parking charge on top, is more than the impact of an extra £1 to get into Nene Park this season.

Fine, next time I'll list every single town and village.

The 'magic triangle' as you like to put it, is what is roughly the centre of our catchment area.

I know that and the point that I'm making is that those supporting the Club, living in that catchment area, perhaps over estimate just how many fans actually make up that support who reside in the 'magic triangle'. They should not be limited by the 37,000 figure that you mention.

As pointed out previously, and endorsed by Formic, there are many hardcore fans who travel quite a distance to watch their footy at Nene Park and the Club's new management, as a priority, should target the wider Northamptonshire/North Bedfordshire/West Cambridgeshire areas for new support.

Where did I say limit it to the 37,000? Re-read my original post, I'm advocating the opposite by suggesting that we should do more to target Wellingborough with its population of 75,000 and not limiting it to the 'magic triangle'!

I actually think if you could question everybody that walked into our next home (league) game where they had come from, you'd find that more come from Wellingborough and closely surrounding villages than come from Rushden, Irthlingborough or Higham.

For what it's worth, my old man comes from Stratford-Upon-Avon for every home game, which is a reasonable hike.

The way to attract fans is to cut the price before handing out the freebies. If those with free tickets enjoy the game for free they won't pay £17 for the next game, they'll just wait for the next batch.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

I don't think that they will be giving any freebies out without strings attached.

That's an interesting statement, can you expand on what you're suggesting please? What sort of "strings" do you think?
