Too anybody good with computers... I saved some work and it is in "my recent documents" on micrsoft word but not in "my documents" when i try and open it, it says something about the shortcut not working properly as it has been changed or moved, and it wont let me open it, does anybody know how i can open the document.
Any help will be hugely appreciated

Sounds like it may have been moved to a different place. Go to MyComputer, hold down Ctrl + F to get search up and select the Documents option. Type the name of the document into the box and hit search. It may take a little while it should find it.

I'd also check your recycling bin.

If you're running Windows 7 simply click on the start button and type in the filename in the search box. If the file is listed in your recent documents but doesn't open then there's a good chance it's been deleted.

if the file was saved to a memory stick/external hard drive then you will need this to access the file
