No one compares to you Dale. Such a leader. You were such a gentleman always had time for everyone. Young fans looked up to you as a leader and a commited enthusiastic player. Loved the banter with the fans on the De Banke. Nothing but happy memories I have of you. R.I.P Dale,thanks for the inspiration you have given to my son who watched you as a ball boy behind your goal at the De banke ,the one to one training session you gave him in your own time,the England shorts you wore which you gave him are framed above his bed and the many pairs of signed gloves he will cherish these forever,one thing i hope is he takes your attitude of how you played and conducted yourself.
My thoughts are with your family,friends,team mates and all at the diamonds. my sincere sympathy for their loss,

Just watched the Football League show..... Well observed minutes silence from all at Forest - paying their respects to, as they rightly would see it, one of their own.

just read through all 18 pages of the tributes again. It's so moving to see the high regard in which Dale was held by friends, fans and strangers alike. We must never forget and I hope, in time, we will all be able to get behind our team and restore them to the League as I am sure Dale would have wished.
