Re: RDFC Vs Scum Match Thread
We were hopeless in the first half, came out the blocks fantastically in a second, scored, and took our foot of the gas.
There were so many guilt edged chances, many of then falling to O'Connor (who looks emotionally fucked). I just don't have faith in this attack without Howe.
K*ttering were awful, and i'm not just saying that. The keeper and the centre back (flanagan?) genuinely wouldn't get into my Uni team. How we have lost to a team like that goodness only knows.
Power by the way, was top class all game.

Re: RDFC Vs Scum Match Thread
1st half for us was relegation standard we never got into the gae and poppies derserved 1-0. Jamie stuart and osano were awful but power ad o connor looked full of energy and wanted tto win.
secound half was much better personally i would of kept charles on but farrell proved ge is good enough to be released he was as bad as always. Sam smith wasnt on the bench so he looks to be leaving. In the fist half we were scared of shooting but that changed in secound haf when day nearly got a goal with the shot/cross. We derserved a win by tge secound half perfoance but the once chance poppies got they took with a osano mistake i believe. Clean sheets are a thing of the past despite the fact we have two good defenders miller and day who i would play in midfield.
Midfield looked good today with porter back in and power playing amazing, gah looked so so another sills or farrell, jamie stuart and osano are coming to their end at the club in my opinion. Aaron wasnt on form today and he needs another good striker named rene howe up front with him.
With such a strong secound half we must look to the next game and if we don't win many questions will be asked to the managment and players.

Looking at the table it's clear that we're not going down, but I think it's pretty obvious that we're not going to really challenge for the play-offs and with JE signing a new contract in the next few weeks it might be beneficial to start looking at building for next season and spend this spring sorting ourselves out.

I think that there may be a cloud of grief hanging over the team at the moment that needs to be got out of their systems, the sooner that we can all move on and forget the events of the last month the better for everyone.

We really should have won today, i thought K*ttering were slightly better in the first half, but in the secong we completely dominated them. Gash impressed me, he won everything in the air and held the ball up well. Alan Power was the best player on the pitch by a mile, he ran the show. O'connor however... had three huge chances and he had to hit the target at the very least from one of the chances, he seemed to do everything right but seemed inept at testing their awful keeper. We really should have got something from the game.
Re: RDFC Vs Scum Match Thread
Well I knew that they were going to beat us sometime but that doesn't make up for how sh*t it feels losing to them and its even more disappointing when I think of what it would have meant to have won this one
As for the game itself, one of the most frustrating I've seen for quite a while, can't believe Aaron didn't score that chance and it was actually a really decent performance in the second half and I thought we'd go on to score another 1 after the equaliser but it wasn't to be. Think we may have got lucky with their penalty shout early in the second half but then again I think we should have had one later on as well. I suppose at least it was a good game, the last 2 at NP were pretty dull affairs iirc.

I don't think it can be forced out though, I think everyone needs the summer break really. I can't say I particularly cared that we lost because after what's happens it just didn't seem to matter. Having said that a win would've been a massive emotional moment, especially in front of the PDB, you could tell Aaron was just waiting to let it all out. :(coltrane wrote:I think that there may be a cloud of grief hanging over the team at the moment that needs to be got out of their systems, the sooner that we can all move on and forget the events of the last month the better for everyone.

Ian Sampson said on the radio that he's not ruling out signing Rene Howe.

Thought they deserved to win and we, for numerous reasons, just aren't firing atm. 8 without a win, which is concerning.
