Couldn't happen to a nicer man

Edit: thought this was referring to Keane! I have no problem with Hodgson ;)

I don't really see how that is funny. Coyle brought Burnley into the premiership and when he left their form turned horrible and ultimately were relegated.
What he is doing at Bolton is extraordinary, he has turned them from hoof merchants into a good footballing side, pushing for European places, he has got the like of Elmander playing well week in week out.
If he keeps on going as he is, a definate contender for manager of the season in the PL.

Baring in mind Bolton are only 9 points from the bottom 3 having played 2 and in some cases 3 more games than pretty much all the teams below them... I'd not say he was a contender quite just yet....

Manager of the year imo? Ian Holloway. Last year they were favourites to be relegated from the championship and are now holding their own in the Premier League playing against teams who are paid wages where they could buy Blackpool's highest priced player in 2 weeks. Especially when nobody gave them a chance and a lot said they'd be stone dead last. 3 games in hand over a few teams, IF (and its a big if) they win those games they could go into 6th. He's done a cracking job there, and would well deserve manager of the season, plus hes hilarious.

Aha, i was just annoyed Coyle was being laughed at when i think he is a top class manager, hence why i said a "contender" ;)
I agree with you on Holloway, one of the funniest people in sport and what he has done with blackpool is unbeliveable.

Could fill the whole screen with funny interviews he's done.

Best one was when he was at QPR comparing his teams performance to pulling a women. They got a lucky 1-0 win and he said 'We pulled tonight. But she wasnt very good looking'

sorry, thinking about what you said, yes he probably deserves to be a contender, but roy was doing good things at fulham but liverpool want success and even if the squad isnt up to it, so maybe coyles better off at bolton
