Also how many memorable Hunter performances can you remember off the top of your head compared to Hill?
Hunter: Cobblers, Orient, Boston, Shrewsbury, Bristol Rovers, Yeovil, Oxford (2-2 draw), Oxford (3-0 win).
Hill: Errmm SS Final, 5-0 Oxford, maybe Macclesfield?

Hill :
Yeovil win at home. the 4-0 away at Droylsdon, and we destroyed Wrexham in Wales aswell I think!

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Oh and it was Godden that beat Yeovil not Hill.

Re: Transfer Listed?
Just cause he's Irish ;) No I'm joking. I can see where you're coming from but I think he was poor. He was tactically inept and as a manager, if your team makes a mistake, you need to address it. The amount of goals we conceded late was an absolute joke and it was obvious to a standard football fan that we needed to improve physical/mental endurance but nothing was done about it.ID wrote:I don't think it's particularly fair to put Hunter in the list, it was his first managerial job, had little to work with (in terms of players and money) and unlike the others he was RDFC through and through.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:Don't think he was as bad as some of you have insinuated. We had some great performances under Hill, and admittedly yes the big year failed, but I'd put him behind Phart/Tippett/Hunter on the worst manager we've had list.

Either one of the MODS is having some fun or I'm losing my marbles. I'm sure I posted it in the Hill thread initially.wewantourdarbyback wrote:Can you at least keep it in the right thread?
