One point in which i am very pleased about is the fact that we are entering a reserve team into a league next year giving fringe players, upcoming younger players and players just returning from injury a chance of some much needed playing time.

Re: Fans Forum...
Off the top of my head...
There WILL be a coffee shop opening in the club shop. This may or may not be in conjunction with one of two local restaurants. It will also feature a stall for car rental company (I think that's what GC said?) which will bring in additional funding.
The club are looking at holding poker nights and bringing back 'An Evening With...' events, including an evening with the Conference winning side. They are also looking at another legends game, and someone suggested the possibilty of parading past players prior to a home game in an attempt to bring back some former supporters.
Hotel plans are still afoot, although the finer details are still being worked upon. It will probably incorporate dorms to support the PB Devs apprentices.
It was implied that the Football CV relationship will be ending soon.
GC seemed less than impressed with Helen Thompson's decision to retire and then take up a position at Corby.
JE was very upset with Jamie Stuart's decision to leave. He didn't attend Dale's funeral and only let JE know through a text to one of the other players. He then produced a doctors note saying he was suffering with depression and could no longer play for the club, somewhat forcing our hand to sell him. The fee wasn't mentioned.
We have a 25% sell on fee on the PROFIT from any transfer fee paid to Peterborough for Lee Tomlin. There is no bonus for them winning promotion though.
We will be competing in a reserve league next season, along with the likes of Ipswich, Norwich and Stevenage.
The club are looking at improving community relationships, especially with local schools and colleges. Steve someone (who I think is another director) visited a school earlier in the week and was told that the headmistress had had 4 appointments arranged with the club over the past few years and this was the first time someone had turned up.

That says it all about some of those involved in the previous regime i'm afraid. Always said more could have been done on this side of things.davealbon wrote:Off the top of my head...

Schools are were the next generation of supporters come from. I remember many of my Diamonds supporting mates started going through free tix from school. Right if we give away what 100 free every game we'll make money through food etc and then they might come back and pay!!

Not surprising, I think some people over estimated her impact at the club, never liked her and this just increases my dislike for herdavealbon wrote: GC seemed less than impressed with Helen Thompson's decision to retire and then take up a position at Corby.
Hightly disapointing from a man of his experience and even more so as he was our captain.davealbon wrote: JE was very upset with Jamie Stuart's decision to leave. Disgraceful! So much for KC always looking at ways to bump up the attendance. I dont know who fault this was but this is a simple schoolboy error! Probably Helen's fault and she gone now so hopefully things will improve!davealbon wrote: Steve someone (who I think is another director) visited a school earlier in the week and was told that the headmistress had had 4 appointments arranged with the club over the past few years and this was the first time someone had turned up.
Finally, Just remember that this is only one side of a story ;)

Re: Fans Forum...
A few more I just remembered....
The trust still has an important role to play regarding volunteers for work around the club. They will definitely be wanted to help with close season maintenance which will be arranged in due course.
We are aiming to have three different kit sponsors next season; a main front of shirt sponsor, and smaller sponsors on the back of the shirt and shorts. This is the maximum allowed by the Conference.
The facias at the top of the stadium will be cleaned as we are hoping to put sponsorship boards all around the top edge of the stands.
We probably won't be heading to Devon again for pre-season, as JE and Paul Driver are looking at other alternatives. It wasn't ruled out completely though.
Other developments are being planned for the 22 acres of land owned by the club, the only one mentioned was a 3G astroturf pitch for the use of the club and the community.
The possibility of doing a Sunday lunchtime carvery is being considered.
JE confirmed that he is still after a midfielder and striker before the transfer window closes, and has targets in mind who he is hopeful of signing.
GC isn't happy with the terms of the lease for the Sports & Exhibition Centre, and is speaking to the relevant people about it. He is looking at investing in it, bringing in new computers etc to assist with the PB Devs business.
