Best Central Defenders
When fully fit there are currently 7 players at the club who can play centre-back, but what would be your first-choice pairing?

Re: Best Central Defenders
You've highlighted our problem.
We don't have a decent first choice central paring (or back 4 for that matter). All these players can play CB or RB (maybe with the exception of Thorne/Prosser) Corcoran, Huke, Miller, Osano.. None of them have settled into a position and made it their own.

Yes well I was asking the question deliberately ;-)TwinkleToesTomlin wrote:You've highlighted our problem.
I'm glad to see that a lot of people agree with my assessment that Huke is the best CB at the club.
I thought him and Stuart were a fantastic partnership - it's a shame they didn't get a season together.

Re: Best Central Defenders
Huke is certainly our best Centre Back, and without doubt one of our best players.
After that it is pretty much anyones guess. Oshodi looks good but he's only played twice. Prosser looked reasonable but now he's injured.
It's definitely not Thorne or Miller though. Thorne looked poor since day 1 and Miller isn't quick enough.

I don't think we will see Thorne again, I thought he struggled even against Brackley, we have much better options.

I didn't vote for Osano but can't believe he's behind Corcoran. On his day, he's the best defender in the league, although it's been ages since that day I guess.

Re: Best Central Defenders
I think Huke is deffo the front runner and after his performances in the last two games, big Eddie looks like the next best defender

I voted Osano, I know I have been critical of him, but he has the potential. Hopefully his horrendous form will soon disappear. Think K*ttering away in the league this season, when we all thought he was off to Peterborough!
