Does anybody keep in touch with Charlie who used to run the ol' forum a few years back? Just thought of him the other day, he's a good ol' boy, no moaning for him

He certainly proved there are more important things in life than a football froum- I remember running the forum for him whilst he was in "action" in Afghanistan. I think he moved to the West Country.

He wrote a great article that was published in the ET when there was a bit of internal squabbling - I think it was when those who'd elected themselves in charge got a bit above their station.

It would be great to know where he is now, always had the utmost respect for Charlie.

Would also be nice to hear from some of the old gang, like Sparkle, Merlyn etc... The 'FAO Sparkle' Thread was legendary on the old forums.

Last time I saw Charlie was when strolling around Highgrove discussing organic farming and all manner of things ecological. Good job too as the previous nights discussion (heated), on all things architectural was quite bloody at times. I do find he likes to talk on all things...

We started well but after a few minutes chin wagggin, I was appalled that despite claiming to be a man of the people, he only did business with Waitrose. (That was on the selling side, apparently his missus got most of their veg from Lydlls).

What would his Dad think to that I wondered? Don't suppose John Lewis ever visited Greece?
Although I'm sure his Mum would approve - he let slip (with a chortle), that his finest free range, organic, compassionate, green, ethical, happy pigs being able to turn around in their pens, fair trade sausages, went down a treat with the corgis.

Top bloke,

What a card...but one short of a diamond..!

Looking forward to his next visit to Rushdenshire.

I remember him saying he was being transferred from Cottesmore to Cosford near Telford but he was also planning to take a legal course in preparation for his departure from the RAF.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.
