Probably as people will guess looking at my posts regarding Gash, I completely agree with alex_RDFC. Creating chances and opportunities can be just as important as scoring. I do feel that if we gamble more to take advantage of his lay offs and winning of the ball, we would get a lot more opportunities to score and get goals.

I'd like to see him with more goals, but if the others start taking advantage of what he creates and as result we see goals, I think it will be less of a worry.

I sense a 4-4-2/4-3-3 debate brewing!

Ha ha...quite right HHRD. You see if we played 4-4-2 then O'Conner (who would be in close attendance), could feed off those flicks and head downs. And of course the crosses would be supplied by our two wingers who have got behind the defence...simples :D :D

It took me a few games, but I think he is a very handy player to have in the team. I think he's brilliant in the air, not just with the head but his chest and and he has a good first touch.

However I think his distribution lets him down a tad. I know his support is poor and that is not his fault but I'm not convinced that if he did have the support regularly he would be that much more dangerous.

I don't think he would have had a sniff of starting this time last year.
