It could just be that a lot of the time the fans at lower-league level know a lot more about the game than the bookies, and thus some specific bets look suspicious whereas in fact it is just clever.
Use our 9-0 win over Weymouth as an example. A lot of their fans knew of the situation before the game, while the bookies didn't. What the bookies saw was an increased number of big bets on us, and then a massive win.

I've often made the remark 'this has to be fixed' at games , which almost look like they are fixed. :lol: Stupid refereeing performances and sometimes there are suspicious games like when you're on form and you suddenly lose 2-0 and can't thread two passes together and the players look like they don't care! But I guess that's just football, but this article makes you think.

If a team was in terrible financial trouble, and would make a fortune if they bet £50k on their team to lose. Would they do it and fix it? It must be tempting.
