I spotted this lad when we played HandY last Saturday - here is part of my comments on the 'Match Thread'....

And credit to H and Y - although a very average side - they were organised and the goal was a beauty and for me their number 22, Wassmer was man of the match - can we sign him on for next season? Would be great alongside Huke

Ben Austin would be very flattered to think he could be a Diamond. Unfortunately he is only part time as he has a good career and his age is now well past 30! he has also suffered quite a few injuries this season.

He is the archetypal "inspirational captain" and has done a great job for Eastbourne over the seasons. I 've never seen him give a bad performance.
