I think there are rules that prevent that, but don't quote me on it.

Unless you can find at least 100 people who don't currently come to games but would if they could pay for seats in the AirWair, and would come every home match, I don't think it will reopen anytime soon.

Seen it done at unsegregated stadiums such as Woking and Eastwood in recent years. But you may have a point given that our away support will not be allowed to move around.

True, but I think it is something do with if you've been in the FL the last 15 years and are stuck with. I'm going to have to do some digging because I can't remember where I read it.

I think you'll find it impractical at Nene Park anyway - it would be impractical to use a South Stand route due to the tunnel entrance, and the walkways in front of the North Stand wouldn't be wide enough, nor people far enough back, given the front row is at the same level as the walkway. I don't think those sitting in the North Stand would be too impressed to have their view obscured for the first five minutes while people shuffled past. I believe we had to have special dispensation at Marine to allow the decision on which way the teams were playing to be made some time before kickoff - which is the only way it might have worked at Nene Park.

On that note:

Standing spectators are not allowed in or near a seated spectators‟ stand where they can obstruct the views.

There must be at least 8 spectator entrances to control the ingress of spectators. These must be controlled by fully operational turnstiles of the revolving type and must be suitably housed and lit. Adequate protection for the turnstile operator must be incorporated. These entrances should be placed in appropriate positions around the boundary of the ground and take into account the requirements of segregation.

Guys we have a ground that requires a Safety Certificate to actually open it. In this document it outlines the minimum amount of stewards required for each stand within the ground. From memory I think its 1 Supervisor and 5 stewards for the North Stand, 1 Supervisor and 6 stewards for the DeBanke and South Stand and 1 Supervisor and 8 stewards for the Airwair. So if you guys want the freedom to roam around the ground (even if this was possible. re segregation and logistics) the club would have to adhere to this minimum level. There is a further requirement of 1 steward per 250 people in a given stand.

I can I suggest you give up now and channel your energies into getting more people into the ground through price promotions, give away tickets for schools/clubs etc....

I still think we're making a mistake in general...i've been in the de banke the last 7 years, before that i was a season ticket holder in the North stand for 9... i honestly think think, the best way to boost the performances and atmosphere would be to get everyone in the airwair stand - it's the best stand, great views...great at projecting our voices. I understand you can't stand and it's more expensive and you're never gonna please everyone...but sometimes things have to change (besides people always stand in seated areas anyway so it's not really an issue) I think now is as good a time as ever to make some changes...get some big promotions going for the new season..free tickets for schools, buy 1 get 1 free etc etc and really push to get some fans back next year-

It wont happen..and its pointless me saying, but it's a shame that our best stand is going to waist, i'd sit anywhere to see the club play and would love to help the squad with a louder atmosphere.

the other alternative is i get rich and pay for the 10 or so extra stewards to go in the airwair each week and people can go where they want

or remove the top 10 rows of seats from the airwar so people can stand if they want too....how much would that cost? i'll get saving

Nice idea RTID but u cant take seats out of the Airwair to stand because the step level is different for seating than it is for standing, plus you would need to put crush barriers in, all not practical I'm afraid. As for standing in seated areas, all you will do is pee off the Safety Advisory Group who can force the club to close a stand if it doesnt make people sit in seated areas. Ask the guys at Wolves, it could be happening to them.

I'm out of ideas...all i can do then is my little bit and buy a season ticket next year and keep going...then my money is paid and there's at least 1 attending ;)
