JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
Having not had a season ticket for the last 2 seasons, I'm considering one (well, 3 really!) for next season.
Getting through this season since the events of Nov/Dec last year and still having a chance of the play offs is a monumental achievement for our young squad. Each and every one of them has given us 100%. Sure, we've seen shocking football and had some disappointing results but they didn't give up and neither should we.
Steve and Liam came across very well on Friday night and they are definitely more plausible than Gary was. No one who was there on Friday could possibly doubt Justin's passion and commitment to the Club. As Pigman said, there's an air of positivity and optimism about Nene Park that we haven't had in quite a while. Come on Gary, join the party, we're going on a ride and it could be fun!

Thanks for your responses.
I take on board all of you opinions and let's see what the back end of this season brings in terms of change.
I hear that Edinburgh is passionate and that's great to hear, but how many players is that passion rubbing off on? You don't see that passion from many on the field.
Fingers crossed the promises in this fans forum will come to light in the near future.

I think it's naivety of youth we're seeing, combined with all the grief off the pitch, rather than a lack of passion. I urge you to stick with this side at least another year Gary, allow this young side the chance to mature.garya2414 wrote:Thanks for your responses.

Justin is doing wonders with the budget that he's on and your season ticket, going by the comments at the forum will be cheaper next year than this year.
We all want to get back in the League, play well consistently week in, week out. I believe given the backing by fans turning up week after week, we will see that. We in the fans need to invest in this club to achieve that by being patient and turning up, thus giving Justin a bigger, more competitive budget.
The club is on the verge of something fantastic, and if we stick by it now when it needs us most, we will all reap the rewards and consign the last of the problems we've had since the loss of Max to history where it belongs.

Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
I'm with D4eva, I haven't had a full season ticket for years, probably 9 seasons now, but I did get a half season ticket this year. I will be investing next season in a full one. I think the new owners have listened to supporters concerns and addressed the pricing issue as far as they can.
On the field I don't expect great things this season, I think we'll fall short of the play-offs. I think Justin, in his heart, believes that too. Next season could be our year though.
Just think how gutted you would be Gary if you, having endured Hill and Hart and the dreadful football they delivered, missed out on the promise of next season?
The club can only go forward and gain the level of consistency and professionalism you demand with investment and development of young players. Give them time, it'll need more than between now and May, but it will come good. The off field development will all be taking place over the next 24 months or so, not tomorrow or next week - you have to give it time to bare fruit.
I'm quite excited, and will be totally gutted and disillusioned if it comes to nothing - but I'd hate to bale out now and miss the next exciting chapter in our history - I pretty sure you would too having suffered along with the rest of us !!

Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
Some of my mates said they'd come...
and I'm talking about 10...
but considering as the club have this RIDICULOUS policy where you need an NUS Card to prove you're a student none of them well. Either you pay £17 or you are forced into spending £11 on this pointless card that expires in 3 months. I've been to 9 away games this year, none have questionned whether I am a student.
It makes me sad how after having 9 years as a season ticket holder, having played for the C of E for 5 years, and being what I see a dedicated supporter, they have the cheek to question my honesty and integrity and make me pay ridiculous prices.
It may be alright for a fan who loves the club, but for a bunch of lads, you can see why they wont come eh.

Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
I got in on my uni id prior to becoming a season ticket holder and my Wolleaston school swipe card before that. If they've got something prove they are entitled to student entry, they should be fine.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:Some of my mates said they'd come...

As for NUS cards, there is an NUS card that IS free and only for ID (democracy card):

No such swipe/school card in our sixth form, and it's simply unnecessary effort in my opinion, It should be easy, like it is at any other ground. You say you're a student, they charge you a student price. 9 grounds of 10 this season it's fine, and its ours that aint, we're missing a trick because our age are the big watchers of football!Mad Dog wrote:

If they are going to be so tight about the student thing, they should make it 16-20 (like Wrexham did today)

Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
Unfortunately there are twats that are cheating clubs and are causing this hassle for you guys. We may very well have caught a couple and this is why we've become strict on it. I was only rarely asked, but I had id.Oundle Diamond #2 wrote:No such swipe/school card in our sixth form, and it's simply unnecessary effort in my opinion, It should be easy, like it is at any other ground. Have you thought about talking to your school about introducing student IDs? It would be a serious proposal, especially with people having to prove their age more these days.

Re: JUSTINS CRY FOR HELP
Our Sixth Form advertising NUS & Citizenship cards as ID, so doubt they would invest money into those ID cards, especially when they have issues such as our poor recent Ofsted report
In all fairness, I can fully see why they are so strict on it, but if they want to attract new fans, they may have to gamble on the fact the amount of money from new fans that would come through the turnstiles is more than the money lost by liars.
