So, who do we want?

Post by Three of Diamonds »

In the Conference for next season?

17 Bradford 35 -11 43
18 Macclesfield 33 -8 41
19 Northampton 36 -7 40
20 Hereford 34 -10 40
21 Morecambe 36 -11 40
22 Burton Albion 31 -6 36
23 Barnet 36 -20 34
24 Stockport 37 -43 32

Personally I'd LOVE to see the Wobblers down here, but I think they'll scrape by.
Barnet (MS, you made a bad choice there pal ;) ) & Stockport looks likely

Wobblers in the conference would be hilarious but they'll survive but it'll be nice to have another big club that I would have never expected to see in the BSP like Stockport who inevitably will think they're to big for the conference and will walk the league but end up finishing mid table

I haven't given up hope that the Wobblers will be down here.

Think about what the neutrals that go there will say if they did. £19 for Conference football at their ground? You must be joking.

Agreed, they have played 36, the most of anyone and only 6 points from the drop zone. Hope is still there :D :D

Their last game of the season, away to Morecambe, is shaping up to be a tad "exciting" for them isn't it?

Barnet and Stockport will come down IMO, but would love to see the the Knobblers make the drop, even more so IF we go up via the play-offs :D

I have seen both Stockport and Barnet last season and both are SHITE. However, the only reason Barnet are down there is because they can't defend for toffee. Their attack is fine.

Cobblers really needed to win today, i understand a section of support turned on Gary Johnson.

On a serious question, what are your thoughts on this BR? You've seen the Wobbs play this season (not a dig at all this time, you're in a better position to comment) could they get relegated in your opinion, especially if Barnet turned a corner?

It's got to be on the cards now. I've looked at their run in, and it could be worse, but it could also be a lot better! As others have said the final game could be a biggy. The thought of Cobblers in the BSP is strange.

The squad they have got right now should NEVER be in this position. Not in a million. Having watched them about 10-15 times this season i genuinely can't put my finger on what is going on.Take a look at some of their squad: McKenzie, Harrod, Osman, Holt, John Johnson, Beckwith, Davis. Davis was wanted by Sheff Wed in Jan, Osman is their best player with SPL experience, John Johnson is an exceptional right-back, and McKenzie is a goal machine. If they go down i'd be surprised if more than 2 of those stay.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say they won't go down. The squad will come good sooner rather than later. Infact, they'll go up next season to boot.
