The results, scorers and attendance from every game since 1992 are already on the site.

Wahayy thank you :D , I didn't realise, just shows how little I have explored the official website really. I thought it was just the 2001 onwards results there (on the fixtures/results page). The website is perfect then ;)

Good point - we currently have to defer to Perform Group's stats for the current season at http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Stati ... 84,00.html which are based on Press Assoication inputs, and don't include FA Trophy or County Cup, and aren't validated for yellow cards etc - we could do much better if we did move away from Perform - as you'll see in the Match Programme.
Out of interest Formic, how will we be able to get out of the FL interactive contract, or is the plan to set up a parallel website?
I don't know anything for certain on this one - but I thuoght there was a contract in place that couldn't just be broken "on a whim". There are also quite a few copyright issues that would need addressing.

Interesting to note on the link to Perform group that the BSBP isn't listed as an official partner.

Perform Group and are in essence owned by the Football League and when we won promotion to the Football League it was expected/contracted to have a website supplied by them.
Once we returned to the Conference we could have changed to our own site, after a cool off period and I presume this is why it's being looked at now.
Perform do not have the same tie up with the BSP and as such most of the sites in the BSP are independent and sourced by the club themselves.

One major issue relates to Betting Sponsorship - with Blue Square sponsoring the league and Coral having a deal with the Football League. Very few (if any) ex-Football League clubs have dropped the Perform Group, with Cambridge and Kidderminster both retaining them for longer than we have, and the likes of Oxford (while they were here), Luton, Wrexham, Darlington and Grimsby all keeping the Perform Group site. The exception is York City, who I'm not sure whether they had a Perform Group site whilst in the league - and who don't seem to maintain their own fixture lists, and where finding a match report from earlier in the season is a challenge, as I've found when producing a match preview when they face the Diamonds.
