Re: Radio Northants (Joe Day to Posh?)
Would like to wish Joe good luck, he has a big future for sure. Seems like we are becoming a production line for Peterborough!
We now need a plan once the money from Joe runs out

FFS I wish the club would keep us informed on these sort of situations. It's been on my mind since ****ing Saturday. This is not fair. It really feels like a family member is dying and not a word.

......and Jacko !! Or was there no sell on fee agreed for him that followed him on???? I'm guessing there isn't.DiamondEejit wrote:I'm fairly sure Joe will stay until the end of the season... no transfers can happen out of the window.
I think we may need Tomlin to move on in the summer, the sell on fee there might be enough to secure our future slightly more long term...?

If Tomlin gets sold for the money mooted, our future is set for the next few years if spent wisely.DiamondEejit wrote:I'm fairly sure Joe will stay until the end of the season... no transfers can happen out of the window.

Bang on. I just hope that if he does move on, we get all the money and the owners don't take some out for themselves...Mad Dog wrote:If Tomlin gets sold for the money mooted, our future is set for the next few years if spent wisely.DiamondEejit wrote:I'm fairly sure Joe will stay until the end of the season... no transfers can happen out of the window.

Hear ****ing hear, I've been distraught since Saturday and I don't know about anyone else but it's been ****ing hard to get to sleep. At least tell us for f***'s sake!Mad Dog wrote:FFS I wish the club would keep us informed on these sort of situations. It's been on my mind since ****ing Saturday. This is not fair. We should just call ourselves the Peterborough Youth Team, I bet it was at a cut price as well, I hope the Beasants have been smart enough to put on a sell-on clause like KC did for Tommo, however I have my doubts. (Does KC own the Tommo sell-on clause or would it be the Club's?)
I'm glad we've got Joe for another 2 home games, he deserves a proper send off for what he's dealt with this season. Can we at least get a proper song for him now?!
Oh and apologies for the tone of this post, I need to go and get drunk or something, what a horrible 3 days.

We own it. I honestly at this point couldn't care less about being their youth team. I'm really thankful to them for this. Evans (the other keeper) was quite highly rated at Dorchester so we're not completely left in the lurch losing Joe at the end of the season.Sara Pascoe wrote:Hear ****ing hear, I've been distraught since Saturday and I don't know about anyone else but it's been ****ing hard to get to sleep. I expect that club officials have been deep into negotiations in order to sell Joe in order to clear our financial problems and for that reason the club must operate in silence. This is the correct thing to do and they should be applauded for doing it the right way.
As for throwing schoolground personal insults around, it does no one here any credit.

I don't mind about keeping quiet about the transfer negotiations Robin, but we were told that we were financially fine at the fans forum. We've gone from that to the threat of administration. Two of Diamonds wrote:I expect that club officials have been deep into negotiations in order to sell Joe in order to clear our financial problems and for that reason the club must operate in silence. I'm not fickle as my posts have proved on here in the past. But even some form reassuring statement might have helped temper emotions.
