Ground Ownership

According to the S106 Planning obligation agreement, associated with the hotel planning approval, signed by Keith Cousins on the 5th November 2009 (which is in the public domain) Colnagen Enterprises S.A. (Incorporated in Panama) appear to be the owners of Nene Park.

This leads me to wonder whether any rent payments by the Beasants to the above comapny are now causing the apparent cash flow problem. It is clear that they must have had a serious problem with the poor gate receipts from the many re-arranged matches since they took over, although with the improved receipts from the recent Luton fixture I'm astounded that they were not in a position to pay staff wages in full at the end of last month.

Was the subject of ground rent payments discussed at the Fans Forum?

It wasn't mentioned, no. I think you probably have a point though, I wish I'd thought of it before the forum.

I would be most surprised if the Beasants paid any money to take over the Club.

Out of interest the Ploppies pay around 20% out of gate receipts to Ben Pickering for the Rockinghorse rent and Cambridge's yearly rent for the Abbey Stadium was increased to £300k a year last October

I'd be interested to know what sort of price KC puts on the ground because assuming Tommo goes from Peterborough for a few million the Beasants would be wise to buy back the ground and ensure that no more rent has to be paid (and in a dream scenario give it back to the Trust ;) ).
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.
