I'm apparently manager of Barnet!

Post by Mad Dog »

Didn't go Stanley on Saturday, couldn't be asked. Frankly. Clearly a good decision. As a Shrewsbury veteran I will not be attending tomorrow evening, simply because I haven't got the motivation to. I am just desperate to see this season out. Those who have read my previous posts will testify, i have been quite critical of Johnson's whole sale changes - clearly in the minority on that one. But this situation was more than predicted by me a few weeks ago. Only Barnet and Stockport's continuous poor form has kept us a decent distance away from the line but as soon as Mad Dog was appointed as Barnets new manager my level of concern doubled!

In summary, our team is ****. And having read some of the ridiculous comments last week where Bauza was being compared to Martin Smith....after ONE good game and ONE goal...I find it increasingly difficult to participate in good footballing debate. Now people want Dunn to be replaced, at a time where the defensive unit needs continuity. Jesus, do you lot know a single thing about football? ! In addition to that, they want some geezer who was playing up front for Dulwich fcuking Hamlet recently to partner Harrod in attack. Honestly, in the time of this boards life span I have never ever read so much bollox in such a short period of time! Theres even some idiot whinging about fans having a go at the players on Saturday. I would have been tempted to lynch the arse holes at half time if Id dragged myself up there....sticks and stones can break my bones etc.

Somehow, someway we have to win a minimum of 2 more matches, unless Barnet and Stockport implode/continue to implode. I would say tomorrow nights match presents us with our last really winnable game until we play Stockport. They have played about 100 games in the last 10 weeks, the last of which they lost 4-1. If we cant beat them then we might as well all pack up and forget about the last 6 matches. Forget BBC predictors and the like...and for those who I have been critical of, don't take it personally, keep typing total **** and keep proclaiming that we are going to go up as champions next season. Which ever league we are in.

(Yes, I've been driven nuts for the moment by all that has gone on! )

Not getting my hopes up for Burton after their result at the weekend but the Wobblers form is f***ing terrible so it'll be an interesting one. It doesn't make up for our problems but I really would love it if they lose it, need something to cheer me up considering our situation!
