The Diamonds boss admits he feels emotionally and mentally drained after having to deal with a number of off-field issues as well as his side's diminishing play-off hopes.
The staff and players are facing delays to their payments for the second successive month.
A transfer embargo has already been imposed on the club who face a points deduction after being charged over an unpaid tax bill to HM Revenue & Customs.
The side didn't train ahead of their 2-1 defeat at Mansfield Town on Saturday but were convinced not to boycott the match by the Professional Footballers' Association.
Edinburgh told the Northants Evening Telegraph: "I can only commend the players for their attitude and desire.
"There has been a lot going on at the club recently and it would be quite easy to be down or feeling sorry for themselves.
"It's very difficult and this is not the first time it has happened with the wages being delayed.
"But, to be honest, they have shown that they will play for myself, the club and the fans.
"It's tough and it hasn't been an easy season.
"People looking from the outside probably don't see the day-to-day struggles which these players have gone through.
"I don't like to say this but I wish the season could finish now because it has been tough emotionally, mentally and now financially.
"In terms of what the players have been through last week, we probably deserved a point on Saturday.
"We needed to get the weekend out of the way and address the wages problem again.
"Hopefully there will be some kind of payment towards the players but this is a day-to-day scenario."

Re: Edinburgh praises resilient players
It doesn't say anything about just 1 point being deducted. It says we are subject to a "points deduction" - this doesn't mean one singular point (as in a point's deduction) but potentially multiple points.Trek wrote:rdfcbrownie-az-o-c wrote:
