From my involvement with these people I can categorically confirm they have no financial backing.

I'm gonna make a wild guess that you won't actually give any details to back that up.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

To be fair I don't ever recall reading that they did, so what do we do?

I think they were relying completely on income from pbdevs but I think that is about to experience some financiall issues of its own.

That is always the impression I got, right from the first FF when Calder was in charge and that has always concerned me. If pbdevs fails, where does that leave the Club? (That's not to say that I think it will or that I have any inside knowledge of any kind....I hope it's a roaring success).

I'm actually rather pleased that I can't afford to buy Season Tickets; it means I don't have to decide whether or not to take a leap of faith. What I will say is that while there is a Club to support my children and I will be there as often as we can to support it.

So what do we do ? Do we support JE and the team by buying season tickets & shares or do we not?

The question is will season ticket money be used to support JE and the team, or might it be diverted elsewhere? There are too many unanswered questions at the moment.
If I remember correctly we were told that the 1st. April was a key date when announcements concerning the security of finances would be made. On 1st. April we found out that the players and staff hadn't been paid, the players were striking and we still had ongoing issues with HMRC and the Conference board.
£100k. in season ticket revenue would just about pay the players for April and May (I presume they are contracted to the end of June). What happens then? There is probably a sizeable VAT payment due at the end of April too, as well as the monthly PAYE/NI payment on the 19th.

As I said elsewhere, whilst many clubs have similar cash flow issues there is invariably a director(s) with the financial clout to support the club through the difficult times. There is no evidence of that being the case here at the moment.

Whilst there are obviously certain figures which are confidential I think the fans, who are being asked to part with considerable amounts of their hard earned income at a difficult economic time, deserve to know a lot more detail regarding the finacial plan for the next 12 months before they can be expected to take that leap of faith.
