That is exactly what i thought.TheIncognitoKid wrote:Were people writing J.Day and the counters thought they mean Jamie?
For those interested it's in the Chronicle. A quote from Day himself where he said 'i feel the season has gone well from a personal point of view'.
REALLY? He's been at fault for many a goal this season. This is a player that made Championship appearences last season.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

He won the battle over Kurt which was very credible seeing how Kurt played last year but I agree he hasn't bossed the league like I thought he would.
I honestly don't think one player deserves to be player of the year. I struggled to think of a standout winner, I just think given the awful circumstances that I can't imagine, they have done very well to finish mid-table and produce some fine displays. The whole squad deserves congratulating imo, and my memories and thanks to players like Porter will be both for the fantastic effort last year to massively over-achieve, but imo the even greater effort this year where simply it was a season like no other has been, or ever will be.

Awards aside, was the Chairman at the presentations? I saw KC there but to me if the chairman was not there that sums up the whole problem at the moment, lack of communication with the fans at WTF is going on at Nene Park. :(

I wasn't there today so don't know, but Steve Beasant was at Crawley on Friday. And I don't think "lack of communication" is fair, we've had three statements in the last three weeks.SCARECROW wrote:Awards aside, was the Chairman at the presentations? Not Forgetting Joe Day is the The Diamonds Forum Player of the Year

Steve and Liam were both present, stood in the corner near Dale's family.
I was surprised that either Steve or Liam, didn't make use of the opportunity to talk to fans.
