I've just been speaking with Liam and Steve

Post by Mad Dog »

I've just spent the last hour in the boardroom talking to Steve and Liam Beasant. There are a number of things that came out, some which was said in trust, other bits that will be released over the next week.

I'll put down here what I think is ok to post here (and I can remember off the top of my head), but it was made clear that if anyone else wants to go down to the club and talk to Liam and Steve like I did, they can do so, they are more than happy to talk to you.

- There were a lot of problems that they were not aware of at the last forum, but are now that they had inherited.

- There is a kit deal being put in place for next season. It is being finalised.

- We will be around and in the Conference next season.

- They want to keep Justin and the core of the team for next season.

- Despite talk at the previous forum, hardly anybody has stepped forward to volunteer.

- The Conference charge will be resolved soon.

-Tomlin's clause is live and intact. Joe Day has clauses and we are receiving money as a result of
clauses that Gillingham placed upon Jackson on 1st July. Barry Fry and the Club wanted Joe to continue with us until the end of the season, but FA/ league rules prevented that.

- Fans posting things on Facebook prior to the Kidderminster game cost the club £3000 in policing costs and made the game a Catergory A game.

- PbDevs goes up and running 1st May. There have been a lot of hoops that need jumping through to get it off the ground.

- Steve also said that he is ploughing through the emails sent by people, some of which are on the same points so a lot of them are being answered in the statements. You can go down and see him like I did, if your email is not answered.

-£2000 worth of shares have been sold.

-We will receive money from the England C game, but we've got to market it.

There is stuff that will come out over the next week(s), but anyone who wants to find out more can go down and talk to Steve and Liam.

I've also bought my season ticket (finally) on credit card immediately after.

I'd like to believe that what they've said to you is legit MD, but there are too many conflicting stories to say for certain whether they are telling the truth or spinning us another line.

Plenty of positves in there though. PB Devs to get up and running in a few days, we'll be in the BSP next season, and we're looking to keep a lot of the players. Great news.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Wow. Ok then how do we sign up for volunteering because I will definitely do some in the summer?

Ed: I was about to send a thank-you letter to Justin thinking he was leaving for sure.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Go down to the Diamonds Centre and ask for Andy or ring up. You're better off going down in person.

@BR: There are some bits and pieces which I haven't mentioned and I'm in two minds about because it's better for it to come out via the club or for people to go down to the club and ask to speak to them. I think I was told that only three people had been down to see them, which is a joke given the comments being bandied about on here.

Maintainance, matchday (next season), anything really. I would also think help marketing the England C game and future games. The best thing is to talk them and see where your skills and time match up.

They also ( I was told a lot of stuff, so expect posts like this and a bit disjointed) need to get in some new equipment to help in maintaining the facilities. So anything you're looking to get rid of that may be of use to the club or can donate, I would check with them to see if it is useful.

Another thing mentioned it that there is a plan to get a fan representative on the board and elected.

As nobody seems to know, did you ask them about who actually owns the ground now?

KC. There is an agreement to buy it off him within 3 years.
