Yeah he means CH, I doubt he's still involved but it is slightly worrying that even now we still have links with Weymouth with Calder and now the Beasants, probably just a coincidenceOundle Diamond #2 wrote:Pardon? don't know how to put links on but on the 1/12/11 (2 weeks later KC sold RDFC ) with no DEBTS?? but kept the ground.
Re: I've just been speaking with Liam and Steve
We've already had one statement this week - and that was also included in the programme for those that don't have the internet. What has changed since then - other than someone speculating on an internet forum about a matter that only the club directors can decide, whatever an informed observer might conclude.Dukes wrote:What I find incomprehensible about this situation is that the Beasants can the find time to talk to any fan who wants to go to the ground for a interview to explain the current situation and yet not be able to release a general public statement for all fans.
Just imagine if a hudred fans wanted a personal chat with them, how could they fit it in with all the work they say they are doing to save the club...it just does not make sense to me.
Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words...
I'm confident there will be another statement when there is something new that needs saying.

Re: I've just been speaking with Liam and Steve
The whole sad sorry saga to me begs the question, did Calder and the Beasants actually carry out any kind of Due Diligence process when taking over from KC.
If they did, it would amaze me the levels of debt were not uncovered.
If they did not, then it would appear to be the most stupid investment since the Sinclair C5 on their part.
I wonder which it is......

That's what I was thinking after reading the Conference's recent statement. The other worrying thing is that they appeared to have discovered items relating to the club's finances since the Fans Forum in early March. :evil:CountHermanDeBanker wrote:The whole sad sorry saga to me begs the question, did Calder and the Beasants actually carry out any kind of Due Diligence process when taking over from KC.
Re: I've just been speaking with Liam and Steve
thanks Mad Dog for your diligence in asking some of the questions which are greatly concerning us on here. From your recent posts, and from other conversations with you, I know you have the club at heart but at the moment I cannot share your optimism. For the first time since the scheme has been available I have not taken advantage of the early-bird season ticket offer and will renew mine only when I am satisfied things are being dealt with and not swept aside with empty promises. I am only too willing to volunteer to help again in the summer, and am pleased that Steve B has publicly thanked this season's volunteers, but it seems to me that too many people who held Diamonds dear were deliberately alienated when the Beasants first arrived and I believe this was deliberate rather than inexperience. Perhaps, in hindsight, they regret this but a lot of the problems are of their own making and cannot be blamed on previous owners, staff or voluntary help. The rallying round for the programme, the response to Dale's parents and the applause for Justin and the players on Saturday show that a lot of us want the club to continue but I wish I could feel the same about our present owners.
