Depressing Thought No.3

Post by Biggles »

It was mentioned by the Beasents that 3 new directors would be coming, now keeping with tradition of making 2+2 being 5 a certain Mr George Rolls has indicated that he is looking to invest in a new Club after passing his Weymouth shares to his wife.

Of course being totally over the top the Vaughan family are still looking for a Club aswell  .

Now that would be a Club Board from hell, The Beasents,George Rolls and the Vaughans, my god we would have had to offended the Gods if that ever happened.

Any gods looking in,please we didn't mean it, pretty please no more of this punishment we beg you :!:

Can't see the Vaughans being at a club in the near future, Stephen Vaughan and son are in prison at the moment, for attacking a police officer

I no everyone is concerned about the future and not 100% behind the current board...If any in some cases. But I don't think it's particularly wise to Insult them on a forum they read. I shot a couple of emails across asking questions (mostly the same stuff others have asked) and I received quick responses (longest taking 2 days) giving me a bit more faith in the fact they have the interests of the club at heart. Steve did say to me that the personal insults and abuse they're receiving daily is starting to get to them a bit, which doesn't suprise me. This could be true it could be a sympathy vote, but to me it doesn't matter. If they are recieving abuse, that's a bit much, although it wouldn't surprise me if it was poppies fans having some fun ;) .

But anyway, be it true or not, at this point in time,I'd rather get behind them and cling on to what's left than P*ss them off...resulting in definitely having no club whatsoever. Even if you refuse to invest...volunteer this summer, go to the car boot etc etc

Speculate sure, but don't bad mouth the people who control what's important to us...it'll only end in tears

Try and get behind the club, in any way you can

I agree abusing people is not on, however i am not abusing them i am just giving an opinion that i trust the Beasents as much as i trust the Vaughns, George Rolls or others over the History of Football that are not in my opinion trustworthy, if they don't like that then tough they will have to deal with it.

You have to earn Trust but i can't trust people that take others money, make promises and then break them.

Yeah i understand...it wasn't a direct dig at you...but i thought it would be a good thread to stick it under ;) I agree they need to earn the fans trust...and they must agree they don't have the greatest reputation and it hasn't been the best start to there reign here. But i feel this situation has 'take two to tango' feel about it. We need to show that we want this club to continue successfully and that football in this area has a future. I don't think we'll be able to show it, just by buying shares and season tickets...and we certainly wont get any new fans in at the moment. I really think a strong turn up of volunteers this summer is our best chance. As soon as i'm back in the UK i'm getting involved. imagine if all of our 800-1000 die hards turned up at some point this summer...It would have a real impact imo.
