All in the Green Dragon in Higham getting absolutely rat-arsed - and good on them!
What an awful season for them to all have experienced, my heart felt thanks go out to them all for sticking with us right to the end, they all deserve better than the shower of shite given to them by 'the incompetants.'

However, one comment was made by a player of "You can count the number of us who HAVEN'T been released today on one hand" - suppose that was to be expected.... :(

Now I havent been to that many games this season due to me making the decision to run a new club in the Northants Combination, (experience of running a football club = possible involvement in anew pheonix RDFC?! ;) ) but it pains me to see RDFC in such a state, having attended since the Beazer Homes days.

Fair play to them. I'd do the same in their position - what a 6 months it has been.

Has anyone heard if they were paid for April?

I was told on Saturday that they have been paid, albeit a couple of days late.

Most of the players are out of contract now so even if we wanted to keep them and they wanted to stay, we couldn't keep them anyway given that the embargo is still in place.

Well at least that's something. Being paid is the very least they deserve after this season. Any guesses as to who the five (or less players) we might have kept on? I hope Nabil is one of them, but I doubt it.

Sorry to put the dampners on the situation but I've just spoken to one of the players who said "we all got our play slips yesterday but can guarrantee still only 5 players have been paid."

The same player is not aware of any player being released as yet.
