This isn't the time for such reflections - surely it's the time for action - are you "in" ?

I'm not suggesting for one minute that we, the fans, go back to running the Club but there must be something we can do to help the situation; we've enough skill sets between us to come up with ideas and plans that might, just might, help solve something. I'd hate to be sat at home on a Saturday afternoon next season thinking "If only...", so if you think you have something to offer, doesn't matter how insignificant you may think it is, bring it to the table and let's talk about it, we can only try...
I can bring tea & biscuits to the table?

Stuart
And can we have another burger tasting session as I missed the last one ;)

But in all seriousness, obviously I'd be willing to help out if possible, not sure how but I'd be willing anyway.

Looking from outside they might see the poor uptake on Season Tickets and think that means we don't care about our club. We have to show them that we do in whatever way possible.

Other Supporters groups have got people to commit to buy season tickets, or make other pledges, via a holding account that will only get released subject to agreed conditions. I think Luton fans did this, conditional to certain debts being cleared.

Other Supporters groups have assembled skilled people prepared to pledge their time / skills to help creditors / investors and thus keep them loyal to the club, if not in the current form.

Other groups have lobbied the leagues, councils, MPs etc.

These ideas might not be appropriate in our case - we need to discuss them - but if we are only sending out signals that we are all looking for excuses to not get involved, rather than rising to a challenge, we'll have to take some of the blame if R&DFC does cease to exist.
Some great thoughts there. I suspect the brain-storm will need two distinct parts to reflect the situation we have and the two essential outcomes of survival and non-survival. I agree we need to see what we are willing/not willing to do as fans regarding financial support (i.e. season tickets) for the existing entity and be ready to support quickly any White Knight on the horizon. The second part will be plan for the AFC Rushden & Diamonds scenario and what we might do should the club cease to exist, bearing in mind our day in court is a few weeks away.

Alas, I think the latter work will be more relevant and substantial with fundamental questions to ponder. The first being who can we find to own & run any pheonix club, as fanbase ownership IMO is not appropriate. Secondly, where could we play and thirdly at what level. Might be a long meeting!

Don't forget that Corby Town also appear to have a club / stadium / league that they cant afford to run

i'm a qualified coach, i'd run a few sessions a week as a volunteer ;)

Unless some hero appears very very soon I think an AFC Rushden scenario is inevitable. Strange, looking back at when the two amigos took us on and all the negativity swept across this board, mainly based on what had happened to Weymouth and the fortunes they had endured. So many of us gave them the benefit of the doubt with a view they had learnt lessons etc and now here we all are.

On reflection, when Keith was preparing to hand over the club with the debts cleared, surely there would have been more interested parties than what we ended up with???

I wonder when we're going to get or maybe even if we're going to get this
I will be making a very detailed statement regarding all matters, from finances to new commercial proposals, which are at the final stage of negotiations, and which would be improper to release until signed.
Will be interesting to see what he'll have to say, surely he won't deny the absolute mess we're in?! And I'm struggling to believe any commercial deals are going to happen, but we can only hope I suppose. Definitely time for some kind of statement anyway that's for sure.

Someone at club told me...
the bank accounts of RDFC have all been frozen as of today...this means the club cannot operate once it runs out of the petty cash it has which will be on Monday..that the staff, players and creditors cannot be paid and also this was pre meditated by NFA which in part meant withdrawal of ENG game. What they told me next that will happen to club in next ten days in their opinion as it is not certain i dont want to put here as it is just speculation.
