Hi All,
I’ve been a bit of a dormant fan at Nene Park over the last few years, various excuses, (moving out of the area, working weekends etc) would love to get involved in helping from a distance if there is anything I can do? I know there has been talk from Harriers9 about a donation website (that helped them) I have recently started a small business which takes online payment, so if it helps I can easily set up a donations webpage page (to link to the website already set up)?!?!? If that is something we are thinking about doing??? If not let me know if I can help with anything else????

The campaign's made a good start I see, hopefully it'll keep getting bigger and bigger. Will do whatever I can by posting on any football related forums, however big or small, helping out on twitter and hoping someone with 1000s of followers retweets (I know someone will soon) and see if there's anything I can do at present.

I've updated the action list at the start of this thread, as well as the progress page on the website - http://diamondsrescue.moonfruit.com/#/p ... 4551208360

Most of the actions are now ongoing - has anyone picked up the action of looking at what Wrexham are doing.

Does anyone have any other actions - I want as many people as possible to contribute - and feel free to offer your services in updating any of the actions.

I've now registered a domain name that I've linked to the new website, which is easier to remember / pass on to others. You can still use the original address, but the new address is www.rdfcsupporters.co.uk

bit late in the day but isn't it the waendel walk next weekend http://www.wellingborough.gov.uk/waendelwalk as it is an international event ;) maybe a way of
a) spreading the plight of the club further afield
b) a way of fundraising

just a thought...

That's a good point at least as far as some publicity goes. I must admit I usually have it in my Calendar but as I didn't go last year I'd forgotten all about it.

You can do personal sponsorship as I normally do [collect money for a cause when doing the walk] - not sure you can do any collections/fundraising etc. on the day, as the Waendal Walk organises official things like that.

We have done the walk a few times as a group of fans in shirts a few years ago, and ET usually covered us as well...maybe I should break out the big DM's for the walk like around Rushden Park, thought that was only about 3 or 4 miles...and they need some repair work.

I think the most we had before was about 20...and if I recall Clare dribbled a football all the way around, plus we carried one of the large flags [Also useful when raining]

On the fund raising front, the Trust have a "fighting fund" account already set up, which only two of the Trust Board Members can access. We can link the various fund raising initiatives to this account, but we'll need some words produced which assure people that any contributions they make are going to the right place, and aren't at risk of being diverted.

Can anyone provisionally pick up this action - we'll need to finalise these at Tuesday's meeting or shortly afterwards once we are clear on the shape of our efforts. It might be worth reviewing the wording on the various initiatives from other clubs that have been mentioned on this thread.

Similarly we'll publish the details to those of you setting up online payments, along with these words.

Whilst I've continued to be a regular visitor it's been a few years since I last contributed to the forum but I now feel compelled to add to the debate. if we as fans are going to save this football club then it is going to be necessary for everyone to pull together to pool our expertise, resources & enthusiasm.

As with the programme for the Kiddy game Tony & others have picked up the gauntlet & I think that they deserve our praise in pulling together and pursuing the actions outlined on the Diamonds Rescue website that gives us a strong position to be entering Tuesday's meeting. It is important that the current owners, Keith & others see that there is a real desire to see this through from the fans. I want however to make a couple of points:

1) Formic's action plan is principally focussed upon saving the club in it's current format. That should be our number one priority and we are right to be pursuing these actions. However we need to accept that it may turn out to be an unrealistic option. Ultimately we are not in control, the outcome will be influenced by the actions of others, the Beasants, the creditors, The Courts & other prospective investors. We need a Plan B & should be considering a reformation of the club, like Chester City if things don't go to plan. Time is not on our side. After chatting with Tony I have taken an action to speak seek a contact in Chester to establish if this is a practical way forward & what we should be thinking about.
2) I have the same attitude as both Pigman & Gill. Any support that I provide will be conditional upon the departure of the Beasants. From what I have seen & heard it is impossible to trust their intentions or imagine for one moment that they have the ability to manage The Club let alone take it forward to a brighter future. I would go so far as to say that if they are still at Nene Park next season then I will not be, such is the strength of my feeling.
3) We need to unite with the Trust to fight this, I understand that some feel that they have been slow to act or communicate but in their defence our financial decline has been very rapid. We need to put those feelings to one side and show a single united front.
