Re: Trust Membership 2011/12 FREE
I was just about to post that. Surely no need to fill a form in if you have previously been a member and know your membership number and all your membership details, address, phone number havn't changed?
Let's hope everyone joins because the bigger the Trust membership is the more that can be done.

To encourage more to join and get involved in anyway they. It also helps in uniting efforts to save the club in terms of skills, expertise and ideas.Diamondsforever wrote:I'm puzzled by this....why is membership free?
Re: Trust Membership 2011/12 FREE
But we can do that anyway, we don't have to be a member of the Trust to help out. What benefit will it be to the Club if I join for free, given that I already give my time and limited skills? Surely, membership fees will help towards the fighting fund and/or the youth set up?

Yeah, while I agree its good to get as many members as possible, making trust membership free is hardly going to help our problems, we need as many ways of making money as possible and trust memberships fee would have been a good source of income right now if letters had gone out to trust members or something getting them to renew :?

Re: Trust Membership 2011/12 FREE
I guess the idea of making it free membership is firstly to get people on board with the Trust and then to instil the idea of saving the club from there. If they're already associated in any form, then they're more likely to buy into it. Let's be clear it's the CLUB that needs the money, not the Trust - that is merely the vehicle for the effort.
It's a good idea, worth a shot IMO, what is there to lose?

So tell me why I should join?
I''ve been out today collecting, we'll be at the car boot next Sunday helping out and I know where to send any ideas I have and who to speak to if I need to. Sure there's nothing to lose and I firmly believe in the Trust but nothing will be any different if I'm a member, so why do it?

To set an example for those who are not currently engaged with their local club and to encourage others to do the same and buy into their community club. If people like you and I who are supporters of this club are seen NOT to be in the Trust when it's free, then others who we are targeting to come on board and get involved both on a volunteer & a financial basis, they will just not bother.Diamondsforever wrote:So tell me why I should join?
