Players pledge to help on Tuesday......

Post by ferrers »

Mark Peters and Sam Smith have so far come forward as definates on Tuesday also Lee Tomlin and Joe Day are going to their best to be there.Alot of others past and present have also been contacted and we are just waiting on their reply as i write this. Remember this is for pledging for season tickets 2011/2012 and donations for R D S T. You can come along between 2 till 8 come . This is an opportunity to come and support and show how much we care about this club and that we're not going to go without a fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your wording could be a little better. I for one won't be there because of my job, I rarely get home in the week anymore :( . That doesn't mean I don't care about the club though.
You're knocked out with who I am,
Look at you now, you're all in my hands.

Come on RH, no-one is questioning whether you care or not just because you can't make it on Tuesday. I can't make it either, but the thought that that means i don't care about the club didn't cross my mind.

I was just saying the wording seems elitist, I have no doubt about the passion I (or anybody else) haveit just seems that some posts just make others feel guilty. Wasn't meant confrontationally.
E.G. The season ticket thread, why do we need to explain our decisions?

The other point we need to make is that people can ring up if they definitely cannot make it, but if you can, get down there since numbers are going to count for this as well.

Don't quote me on this, but as I understand it, the Trust are using reception at the Diamonds Centre to gather pledges so if you ring the club and ask to speak to someone from the Trust, you should be able to make a pledge to them over the phone (although I would ask the person on the other since other options may be made available).

Pledging to buy season tickets is the best way to raise a large amount of money in a short space of time

On this we are of one mind. :)

Also just reminder guys, there's no blackhole in pledging to buy one on Tuesday. Nothing is getting banked unless we hit £250,000 and if we don't you get your money back.

Don't want to sound negative, i'm just a little confused by this tuesdays event - Are people in the local area aware of what is going on? has there been enough press regarding tuesday...this is the first i've heard of it( all be it, i've only just arrived back in the UK) but unless there are loads of people coming, why are ex-players coming to help out? I've got this horrible vision in my mind of about 10 people turning up on the day or us just getting a handfull of phone calls because it wasn't publicised.

i'm not saying this is what will happen, I just don't know enough about it

I will try and get down...although i'm skint so i can't really donate much - but can someone just briefly run past what the whole idea of tuesday is and how many people you expect to attend etc

cheers
