Re: Donations and pledges for season tickets.
So far well we've had over 30 fans come down and donated to the Trust.
Which totals around £9300 ish.

With all due respect Mad Dog, could I suggest that you read my post again and try to absorb the point I am making with regard to the wisdom of "customers" - i.e. RDFC fans - providing the funding to cover unaccounted losses incurred by a private company set to remain in private ownership.Mad Dog wrote:The thing is guys that whilst in an ideal world I'd like us to get back the facilities, it's not going to happen in the short term. Let's save the club, put it back into community owners by the fans (no way are we going to repeat the mistakes of the past), get it stable and eventually we can look to recover the facilities.
I sympathise with your view and to an extent agree but at the end of the day, the choice is between having a club next year or no club next year.
I think that if you visit poppynet (not, I agree, to be done lightly) - and the thread headed "Imraan in the NLP" - I think that you will find that some on there have begun to understand the issue which is not about "saving the facilities" but more about avoiding getting "mugged".

This thing definately going on until 8pm? I might pop over after having some grub, but 14 miles is a tad far if it winds up early?

With respect Chammie we're not going to have a football club next season if we don't donate (and this will become a club owned by the fans if this goes through). I've said I agree to an extent, but again, I've mentioned if anything it something that we could sort out in the long term. But there won't be a long term if we don't sort out the problems.
It really does come down to if you can afford to donate/pledge, if you want a football club at Nene Park. Remember you will 100% back if we don't get to £250,000.
If this doesn't work the club dies and there will be no football club next season.
@Jim: Yes

I think most of us understand what your saying Chammie, and agree, but this is our football club, common sense and reason go out of the window when your faced with losing your club.Chammie wrote:With all due respect Mad Dog, could I suggest that you read my post again and try to absorb the point I am making with regard to the wisdom of "customers" - i.e. RDFC fans - providing the funding to cover unaccounted losses incurred by a private company set to remain in private ownership.Mad Dog wrote:The thing is guys that whilst in an ideal world I'd like us to get back the facilities, it's not going to happen in the short term. Whilst now isn't the time for a witch hunt, I ultimately want to know how we got into this situation when the balance sheet of debtors/creditors cancelled eachother out at the time of the transfer (according to KC). What has happened behind the scenes for there to be such a debt? Like many others I can guess and until full and open access to the accounts is allowed thats all they'll be, guesses !!

Re: Donations and pledges for season tickets.
Well at about 7:20 the counter flipped over 50. But there were well over a dozen people in reception filling in cheques for donations.
I really hope we have a big rush and reach 100 today.
Please come on down if you can.
We might just do this.
