They're on holiday in Saudi Arabia, securing a deal with an Arab. The Arab has offered us 100 camels at the moment, these are only rumours though...

It makes me so angry that he's been allowed to get involved.

Don't know about that but, IIRC, Steve Beasant was never actually involved in running Weymouth, he just tried to take them over with another guy called John Ryan but his offer was refused because they didn't believe he had any money and the old Cambridge United Chairman, George Rolls, took over instead.

Everything just seems to quiet we are hearing nothing from the owners about what they are doing about this,I know KC said he wont help out financially but is he helping in another capacity it just seems whats behind closed doors. Are their discreet discussions going on with ladak. who the f..k knows ;) it would be nice for a bit of feedback from the powers that be!!!! :?:

The last thing we need is to hear news from the Beasents, that implies they are staying around.

Silence from those working on our future is the best option at the moment as the Conference Board will look at any official news or leaks about talks with creditors or new owners etc as admitting some kind of insolvancy and will swoop and kick us out before we have a chance to keep the club going.

So just keep on trying to raise funds to give us hope until such time someone on the steering group or whatever they are called say otherwise.

I had heard we were awaiting a further statement.............is that still the case, surely enough time has elapsed since the KC meeting for the current owners to tie up the loose ends and shuffle off.

Did they or did they not say that they would make a statement over the weekend?

They also told us that they would be providing the funding to take the club to the next level, increasing the playing budget for next season and not taking a penny from the club for themselves.

This wouldn't be the first lie they've told us, and is far from the most damaging.
