So whats happening guys?
So whats happening guys?
What is the current stat of play, read the ET article but what does it mean?
Are we looking at a situation where at, say 5pm, the club could go under if not enough money as been raised?
The forum seems to have gone a bit quiet this week and with no news coming from Nene Park, what is really happening?

The '14 day deadline' as I read it given at the Fans Forum on the 10th May, was off the top of KC's head to motivate the Fans into action.Stalin wrote: Are we looking at a situation where at, say 5pm, the club could go under if not enough money as been raised?
Surely the absolute deadline for raising funds is the day before the winding up petition brought by Cloverdale Catering is due to be heard is the middle of next month?

How much money has been raised so far? Anything above 10k and I'll be surprised.

I think we were told we had raised 20k in the first 2/3 days, so yours isn't a blinding guess ;) .HiHoRushden&Diamonds wrote:How much money has been raised so far? Anything above 10k and I'll be surprised.

I'm not sure how much exactly, but I can make a guestimate that its much more than that from the dribs and drabs of information that we've been getting.HiHoRushden&Diamonds wrote:How much money has been raised so far? Anything above 10k and I'll be surprised.
I do wish everyone would stop being so flipping negative though.
I'm not meaning to pick on you HiHoR&D btw, this applies to quite a lot of people on this forum:
Doom, gloom and we're going bust talk is not going to save this club. Call it realism, call it whatever you want but it is really not helping right now. People from all over the world will be lurking on this forum and if they read half of the posts on here then goodness knows what they'll go away thinking! There are many negative thoughts in my head too, but I'm not publicising them now because I don't want to take focus away from what is really important - our campaign.
Since you're at a computer (or other internet device) then email a business, a newspaper, a celebrity or tweet them, or send them a message on facebook or whatever.
If you're out or going out then print off some posters to take with you and stick up. Have a whip-round at work - tell all the guys there that they can pay to write 'Gavin likes it up the wrong-un' (or whatever your name is) on the pixels page. Bake some cakes to sell, have a sponsored bath of beans, offer to shave 'tw@t' into the back of your head if you get £250 worth of donations......... whatever. Just do something!
At least if it all goes tits up in the end you'll be able to say that you tried your best and didn't let R&DFC die without a fight.
I'm still fighting - are you?

Spot on AK, I was thinking exactly along same lines and you've just typed what I was thinking. Theres lots of people with plenty to say but when it comes to actually doing someything to help the cause sit back and expect others to take the lead.AndyKirkup wrote:I'm not sure how much exactly, but I can make a guestimate that its much more than that from the dribs and drabs of information that we've been getting.HiHoRushden&Diamonds wrote:How much money has been raised so far?
